bwahahahaha that is hilarious. wtf are those clowns at TT doing.

Edit: Forgot Tubby took over. Still I would think keeping someone who is familer with the Big 12 offenses would be smart.

He didn't deserve the head job, because he had to be a river boat gambler to beat an undermanned less than average MSU team.

He probably couldve stayed, but Tuberville can bring in his own guy now.

Can't really blame Tuberville for wanting to get his own guy in there. That's pretty common for new head coaches to do.

Hiring interim head coaches who win bowl games mostly on emotion (and you also have to remember Mich St was undermanned) is usually never a good strategy. Bill Stewart?

He said he wouldn't fire any of the staff before the first yearwhen he got the job...

Yeah...those verbal contracts are pretty enforcable and binding.

What new coach hasn't hired their own staff?

I would be.

You know there is a poster on here calling him a "fucking liar" but obviously his word is pretty golden as he hasn't even signed a contract in Lubbock but is still assembling a staff and so on. I'd call that a man of his word. Just about any other coach in his exact position with his resume would be sending hookers and blow to the UT AD trying to get that job.

One of Tuberville’s first orders of business was to meet with Leach’s staff, none of whom had any assurance of retaining their jobs. The A-J learned late Saturday that the assistants weren’t immediately told who, if any, among them would be retained.
