Figured You Out and How You Remind Me are 2 Nickelback songs I'll shamelessly crank up. Both are pretty sweet songs.

So I for one am praying they do not come.
Well phuck.

I heard Limp Bizkit as another possibility along with Janes Addiction.

I dislike Nickelback and hate Limp Bizkit and Jane's Addiction....so disappointing rumors, for me at least.
You have got to be fucking kidding me....I know the Big 4 thrash metal bands are all touring Europe in the Spring so that rules them out :(. Even though John Frusciante left the Red Hot Chili Peppers, they put on a great show and I'd like to see someone like them headline one day.

Figured You Out and Animals are two songs I like a lot. But there comes a certain point where every song sounds so much like the other that you have to stop listening to them.

Right here. Nickelback epitimizes everything that is wrong with American mainstream music. I'll never figure out how anyone could like that SHIT. It's not that their songs sound the same, because you can say that about most evry band. It's just that their shit sucks so fuckin hard.

It's like this macho cool jock rock not-too-edgy radio-friendly bullshit. That's not what rock 'n' roll is about. It's for dudes who wear underarmor under a tap-out t-shirt and drink energy drinks to listen to because they don't want to hear anything too deep or anything that actually hints at art. Fuck that.

If any band is in need of a plane crash, it's Nickleback.

Nickleback plagiarized itself from NPR

I just have a feeling it'll be a disappointing year as far as headliners go.

I really wanted Marilyn Manson and/or Rob Zombie one day. Or someone like Tool. I loved the dark vibe Saturday had last year building up to Alice In Chains and Slipknot...so I wanted one day to be like that.

It's not "Cool to hate Nickelback" now.

They're not a very musically skilled group of musicians, and they are poor songwriters as well.

People tend not to be into that all the time.

we can all bitch about how their songs sound the same but why change a money making formula? i for one would trade places with them and their bank accounts not to mention you get to perform every other night and have fun. i dont love them as a band but dont dislike them either.

People will still come to see them because there are plenty of people out there that do like them and their album sales are all you need to look at.
Another thing, album sales have never been a good indicator of quality music. Actually, sales of art (music, film, theater) rarely correspond to the quality of the piece.

Nickelback is a big reason why I'm glad that when it comes to the rock/metal scene, I'm glad I focus on the underground stuff.

I love how their first two singles could literally be played on top of one another, and only the lyrics would change. Talk about lacking in talent!

Album sales might not reflect your opinion of their talent but it does reflect their popularity. Every album they released in the past decade went platinum. Someone mentioned their songs have over the top sexual themes but so did other classic rock bands whom many people like. Sure it's not the most original concept and what can you write songs about that haven't been done before. Same goes for movies at this point as there is only so much you can do without going back to something that was done before. Everything they have done has been successful so no reason to change anything for them. It's a pointless argument because everyone has their own taste in music and their is nothing that declares one person to be right and another wrong. If you like it cool, if not that's cool too.

I watched an interview on TV and the singer for Nickelback has even said this. After their first hit single of their career, they went back to see what worked with that song and replicated that same formula to continue that mainstream success. Basically he said if using the same formula over and over is going to sell albums and sell out shows, then they'll keep on doing that.

Nickelback really lacks in the talent department but really, it's the populations fault for creating Nickelback's success.

Look. It wasn't cool to hate corporate rock bands until Pearl Jam had their hissy fit on corporate big wigs.

Now everybody's doing it.

This chick I'm banging sent me a text the other day "The next time we hook up, we're listening to Nickelback."

I was all like, LOL WUT!?

She's like, "Yea, all their non-radio stuff is about sex. I think it'd be fun."

I let the Nickelback roll while I puffed a blunt and got some dome.

I've heard worse. I've heard better.
