This is correct. My understanding is that Carroll and Chow have not spoken since Norm left.

Jon Gruden, Mike Shanahan, etc. Del Rio might not be an elite coach, but just because he is likely to be fired does not mean he is a terrible coach.

Jack Del Rio is 2 games over .500 in his career and 1-2 in the playoffs. Before Pete Carroll was hired at USC his NFL record was 2 games over .500 and 1-2 in the playoffs.
