Maybe something is about to come down about the Reggie Bush accusations and he wants out of USC?

I wasn't thinking that exactly, but I was wondering what would happen to the USC program if Carroll left and then t NCAA ended up coming down on them.

He wasn't a bad NFL coach his first time around. I don't think it would be a bad hire at all by Seattle.

I hope he does it. I would love Southern Cal to come down a notch. Would Kyle Prater go to Notre Dame? Would Seantrel Henderson go to Ohio State/Notre Dame?

This could get very interesting, very fast.

Dillion Baxter could very well wind up at Michigan if Carrol leaves along with Sean Parker and Robert Woods.

Come on Pete leave!

He knows the axe is about to fall over this NCAA violation scandal. Getting out like all good rats before the ship goes down.

Thanks Petey for Henderson.

I'll be shocked if Carroll leaves. Although the bottom line indicates that it might be close to a done deal. We've been down this road before. Like others have said, the possible NCAA sanctions could make this end differently then it has in the past

The local (LA) sports show just interviewed a beat writer who says that many of the USC athletic dept. employees have been verbally informed that Carroll is leaving, though nothing official yet. Take that for what it's worth.

Interesting read from SI's Mandel. The AD at USC has been catching a lot of heat about the recruiting allegations and McKnight deal because he basically turned a blind eye to people he knew were sketchy. Apparently Pete feels he was left out to dry by the AD on McKnight. I've read a few articles on the AD in the last week that have been less than flattering.

I'm not going to lie, this makes me extremely happy if true. Enjoy the NFL, Pete.

Enjoy hell, USC.

Would anyone else really be shocked if Pete Carroll left, and Southern Cal was forced to forfeit a ton of victories and lose scholarships? It wouldn't set them back as far as Southern Methodist, but it would put them down a notch or two no question.

Come on Petey, go to Seattle already! :D :D
