Based on what I saw, I think they would have.
I think that defensively Texas outplayed Bama. No reason to think that McCoy wouldn't have moved the ball better and not turned it over as much.

No. Colt McCoy doesn't play defense and Texas' defense let up most of the points. A real national championship team can overcome situations like this.
LOL, riiiiiiiight.

Texas definitely wins with Colt in there the way Texas' O line played in pass protection for 57 minutes. Bama's D definitely was not the caliber of Nebraska's & Texas' O line got handled in that one. I would hardly blame Colt McCoy for all of the problems that Texas had against Nebraska.
Let's say with Colt in it is still 6-0 at the end of one. Are you telling me that Texas time of possession in the second qtr. is exactly the same? No way.
The Texas D is not on the field as long in the second qtr. and the score is much closer if not Texas actually having the lead. The Texas D played lights out the first, third & most of the fourth.
Bama's pathetic passing game keeps their scoring chances down & Texas runs away with the NC & the SEC gets embarrassed if McCoy plays IMO.
