My husband and I do not watch many of the same shows, but we are watching Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders and we liked the first episode. Edie Falco is a queen, and I had no idea Josh Charles and Sam Jaeger were going to be in it, so that was a pleasant surprise.

I am more annoyed that most people by improper English/grammar with things like 'bae', 'lit', 'woke', 'turnt', etc.

However, calling someone out on it on a message board is dumb, unless they are excessive (like every other post).

Saw The Good Doctor last night, having a kid with austism (similarly high functioning as the role in this show) I am probably biased, but I liked it a lot, especially his last scene of why he wants to be a surgeon.

So far it isn't as amazing as Atypical is/was from Netflix, but it has only been 1 episode.

Through the first 2 episodes of The Deuce on HBO. Definitely interesting and well done, which is no surprise with David Simon in board. Will definitely finish this season as it happens.

Episode 3 is better and episode 4, that aired Sunday, was the best so far.

Agreed on both shows. Also, jmog last night was the second episode of Good Doctor. The pilot was on 9/25. Unless you meant you had only seen one episode.

As my wife spent several years teaching kids with autism and other hurdles, we had to watch it, and I liked it very much. I will definitely be keeping up with it.

Also, a complete guilty pleasure show (it's really not a good show at all) is iZombie. Just realized I hadn't watched any of the third season, so I'm going to. I don't recommend it if you come into it with any expectation that it's not cheesy zombie nonsense. It's cheesy zombie nonsense. Think Walking Dead meets Bones where the main characters are all millenials, and add a heaping cup of infantile melodrama.

Watched the first 2 episodes of Me, Myself and I. It is a cool concept and is executed well.

If you liked The Good Doctor, you should watch Atypical on Netflix. They have a whole season out already and are supposed to start season 2 sometime soon.

They turned the idea used in "This is Us" with showing parts of each story separated by decades, into a comedy show.

I agree, not bad, I like it so far, but This Is Us last year really started this type of show.

Any particular reason why? I've never even heard of it, so I'm curious.

I've had a handful of people, including men, that say they are addicted to this show and that they cry every episode. I'm the type of person who sits in front of a screen long enough for football season and American Horror Story, so I am the last person to judge on this.

This Is Us...how to describe it for men...

If you are the type of man who only watches things that blow up or things that make you laugh, you won't ever want to watch This Is Us. It is a drama, most associated with "women".

However, it is not the "Soap Opera" type show that really caters to women, it handles real life drama type situations.

My wife loves the show, my oldest 2 sons watch it with us as well, I like it a lot. It maybe the best TV drama since Parenthood.

I do admit, there has been 1 or 2 episodes that got me choked up, don't remember actual tears but choked up for sure.

I didn't think it was horrible, just completely unbelievable. Will be interesting to see if they continue it.

It's about a therapist in NYC. A lot of scenes of her talking to patients about their problems. It was just lame and boring. Netflix cancelled it with the quickness, so I doubt I'll finish it.

I know The Good Doctor has only had 1 episode, but in my opinion (so far) Atypical covers what it's like to be highly functioning autistic better.

The Good Doctor showed no real "freak outs" based on sound, anxiety, lights, textures, or whatever. I know all autistic people are different, but some of the stuff shown on The Good Doctor so far would have caused some major "breakdowns" for most on the spectrum.

There have been two episodes of The Good Doctor. This past Monday was #2.

I did notice that, but I do have to turn around and give them credit for accentuating the background sounds when they focus on Dr. Murphy's perspective, as I understand that to be a pretty normal thing among many people with autism.

Absolutely.

I haven't watched episode 2 yet.

My wife signed us up for Hulu last week. It's been nice being able to watch Seinfeld on the regular. Any Hulu originals worth checking out? I've heard Handsmaid's Tale is good.

One of the few instances where the book and "movie" really parted ways but I enjoyed both equally.
