Popped something in my calf today playing basketball. Caught it before too bad but can barely walk and calf muscle is out of commission.

What irritating injuries have you had in the last year or so?

Shoulders are fucking up regulalry. One has a partially torn labrum, rehabbed the majority of the annoyances away...but it's still there. The other has a strange pop, unexplainable at this point. I don't even recall a time when the injury happened...just waiting it out. Soon I'll start doing the same PT exercises that helped the other.

I've been dealing with bursitis one of my knees for over a year. PT helped that too, but it still flares up. I'm only 32...I feel I will be even more fucked in 10-15 years.

I have one shoulder that's been bothering off an on for a few months. It hurts more during chest presses than shoulder exercises, though

I have plantar fasciitis in both feet. They hurt pretty badly every morning, then gradually feel a little better as the day goes on. Still never great, though.

I feel that was part of my issue. Often have plantar insoles but didn't in my old running shoes. After some running during XC practice we played some basketball and early on my right heel was hurting a bit...Calf stretching and plantar all go together a bit and I bet I was running weird trying to save me heel some pressure....then landing from a jump. Shit.

Both knees are bone on bone. Doc says I'll likely need a double knee replacement, at some point. Also have had a cracked disc in my lower back that will likely require surgery some day. Disc in my neck is screwed up too and I also have plantar. Ahhh...years of heavy lifting. lol

These are horribly painful. I would guess that they gradually feel better as the day goes on because they loosen up as you move. They have night time braces which stretch them as you sleep which should assist you with that early day pain. Have you ever tried such a thing?

Been there. You have to stretch those calves.

I tore my soleus muscle running in the snow.

I have an autoimmune deficiency (Ankylosing Spondylitis) which causes my back joints to fuse together like a bamboo rod over time. The pain was unbearable for 6 months before it was diagnosed. No cure, but Humira keeps it at bay. 1 shot every 14 days of 40mg. It's a bitch, and I'll have it the rest of my life. Ugh.

...Shoulders and knee's are both shot from too many years of sports, and laying tile. Shoulder pain wakes me up at least twice a night and the knee's bother me along with shin splints after I work out...sucks getting old!

My left achilles has been giving me trouble for years. Every time I try and get to consistently running it doesn't take long to flair(flare?) up, even if I've taken time off prior.

I haven't tried braces or inserts, but I do stretch regularly. Honestly, I am bad at taking care of myself, lol. My MIL is a nurse practitioner so I guess it's time I start listening to her and actually trying to fix the issue.

Rolling tennis balls under your feet can help with that. With you being a runner it's also probably to take some time and off and just let it heal fully.

Hurt my ribs on the 4th on an ill advised trip down a downhill slip n slide. I diagnosed myself with bruised ribs after some extensive internet research. Was sore Wednesday and felt a little better on Thursday. Felt good enough to play in my 9 hole golf league last night. This morning, I feel like going to the ER I hurt so badly. I probably should not have played. I'm shutting everything down for a least a week or two and see how things go.

Got drunk and decided to climb a rope in my bare feet last weekend. Unfortunately I had to come down and not by jumping. Nice rope burn on my foot that isn't healing....

Don't think I have any real injuries, but I do have give or take 5 bones that crack every time I stand up. Shoulders crack every time I lift weights. Figure it has something to do with playing sports all throughout my childhood.

My family has a history of knee problems (Mom double knee replacement in her 50s)
My knees ache and have arthritis every so often. I also cannot run too fast or long as they really start to ache and hurt. (After I did the Army 10 Miler, my knees were shot for a few a days)

I've accepted that I will have to move to biking instead of running to stay in shape in the next few years.
