or we get fed up with having to filter out all of the noise, and find other places for our time-killing online entertainment. The worst of the trolls here have each run off some number of posters. In every case, the ones who left added more value to the site than said trolls. In every case.

Well, with Sleeper, he had a multi-year persona that could easily be described as, if not right-wing, at least fiscally conservative. When talks came up concerning women and minorities complaining about equality, his responses were all mocking them for expecting stuff to be handed to them based on something other than their actual work. When Trump won, he immediately about-faced his stances on most of those issues, without giving any explanation other than "I think for myself and gradually have evolved my thoughts about things over time", which doesn't really explain how "evolved...over time" came down to one November night.

Which, in itself, isn't "wrong"...but when you're online virtually all the time and doing nothing but thread-shitting with your new personality and views while immediately dismissing other views as "Fox News" (or "broscience", lol), you're adding nothing and detracting a lot. No one wants to get on a thread about a mass shooting to watch an already lame act go even more "LOOK AT ME!" over the top. Thread-banning someone for having a different opinion is lame; thread-banning someone for being a deterrent to other people being able to converse is a necessity at times.

The military refit many of their m4s from the 3 round burst to full auto. Not exactly sure why because burst is much more effective and accurate and wastes much less ammo.

I think this guy had to have been a disturbed individual. Appealing to the civility of someone like that is probably a lost cause. Most people could never conceive of doing something like this. Those that do are likely not in the business of reconsidering their position in order to contribute to a decent society.

If a civilian installs a bump stock, so they can now mimic fully automatic, does it become an assault rifle? Not saying that's what the shooter did, just wondering your opinion.


This weapon is not considered an assault rifle (to some) because it's not a fully automatic weapon.

No way to know for sure, but if the AR had never been invented, I'd put the reduction in incidents like the one today near zero. The sick fuck would just have used an AK or some other platform.

Any idea if they import as many AK's into America, as AR's are produced here? Many different Eastern bloc manufactures of the AK and it's been made forever.
