House majority whip Steve Scalise was shot in the hip.

Gunman - middle aged, overweight white male - fired 50-60+ rounds while 15 Republican congressmen were practicing for the annual Dem-Repub charity softball game. Gunman is either in custody or dead.

Apparently, one guy leaving the practice early was asked if it was Republilcans or Democrats.


News networks are waiting for more details before deciding what narrative they will push.

Sounds like this could have been a lot worse. There were two capital police officers there to stop this from being a near massacre.

Pretty crazy. It could have been way worse. Had Scalise not been there, there wouldn't have been any protection around.

Just heard the first, highly unlikely reference to "automatic weapon". Only a matter of time before the equally (and intentionally) wrong term "assault rifle" is used.

Hard to take claims of wanting a discussion seriously when they can't wait to tell the same baldfaced lies.

If he was a muslim, this would be terrorism. But the conservative media will white wash this, clean the narrative, and blame liberals instead of acknowledging their double standard and reality.
