Both healthy, I still don't see them competing. That conference is too deep.

On the health, he missed 8 games last year and 1 game the year before. I wouldn't say he has had recent health issues.

I'd like to clarify I wasn't using that headline to support my argument. I just thought it was funny that was the first thing that popped up. If both are playing like they are capable of by the trade deadline, that would be a trade I would consider.

I have a hard time seeing Memphis part away with those two for one pick though. Also, how would salaries match up?

Not sure, I haven't actually thought about it too much. Just popped into my head as I see Memphis struggling this year and maybe are looking at a rebuild. If that's the case, not sure you want a 33 year old Gasol taking up so much salary. Conley being younger is a bit less likely, but I don't rule anything out in NBA these days. If they are struggling to get just for the right to get swept by GSW this year (and likely next...) why not try and start over??
