Bummer. Cavs would have been Golden State scary depending on what they would have given up.

Great article which summaries my thoughts on Wade joining the Cavs and the lack of impact he'll bring: https://www.fearthesword.com/2017/9/27/16371908/how-dwyane-wade-fits-cavs-offense

Othr than another ball handler and LBJ's friend, he's not bringing many positives to the Cavs.

I think he'll give 20 good minutes a game in the playoffs. I'm cool with that.

I like the Wade signing. Obviously starting 5 will be completely different without KI. But Cavs starting 5 were fine in the finals. It was without LBJ they got waxed. I think this off-season has really given the death a shot in the arm, especially scoring and a bit defensively (Crowder/Rose), to keep it a lot closer when LeBron takes his 4 minutes of rest.

You're more optimistic than I am, but you make a solid point.

One of the things I like about the Wade signing is that, unlike Kyrie, Wade won't feel like he's LBJ's lap dog. He'll be able to keep LBJ in check, as an equal. I don't think he'll bring a ton to the table as a player but will help as a leader.

I think you're both right... The overall depth has improved greatly and will help. But losing our spacing starting Wade/Rose will be interesting to see how the offense goes. We'll have a lot more players that need to be closer to the rim to be effective.

What are your guys' thoughts on Lebron's whereabouts this time next year? Color me optimistic, but I truly believe Cleveland.

The LA rumors just don't add up to me. If he leaves, like last time it will be a team we didn't expect.

As long as he views CLE as an easy path to the finals he won't leave, especially not for a team on the West with all of that competition. He wants championships and staying in the East provides the path of least resistance.

With Russ staying in OKC officially I’m decreasing Lebrons odds to LA.

I think if PG ends up there next year, that is more appealing than a 30 year old Russ would have been.

But I do agree with you, I don't think he's gonna leave again. I've gone back and forth on it, so come next March I'm sure I'll say he's leaving.

Haven’t really look at the FAs, but not sure what team LA can put together for Lebron that has a better chance than the Cavs to beat GSW. Also with Westbrook staying I think PG will be more inclined to stay. Presto is a legit GM.

I think it depends on what LA does this year. If Lonzo is a bust and/or his dad continues being a controversial douchebag and/or the Lakers suck, I can't envision Lebron wanting to be apart of that. Especially if Cleveland wins the title.

Gun to my head, I think he finishes his career in Cleveland.

My guess is he stays in Cleveland. Don't think he has any interest in being known for playing on 3 different teams.

The business opportunities, big market, first to win a title with 3 different teams, checking out the school, etc.

I don’t buy the big market bs either. Lebron did more for his brand winning a title in Cleveland than he could in any city. Not to mention he has brought the highest finals ratings while playing for Cleveland. Someone of Lebrons stature doesn’t need to move to a city to create business opportunities.

It comes down to whether Lebron still wants to pursue a title. If he does, he stays in Cleveland or goes to a team nobody is talking about that gives him that chance (I.e Spurs). If he does give a fuck about a title, then I can understand him going to LA and being content with never making the finals.

Has anyone even thought of a roster in LA that would give Lebron a better chance of winning a title than the current roster he is on? A lot of people are banking on Ball being a top 3 PG in his sophomore season it seems.

It sounds like they will be benching TT, starting K-Love at center and Crowder at PF.

Helps spacing, obviously. But no rim protection.
