The draft pick - if they keep it - especially makes it nice. Brooklyn sucks.

RCF:
This is my open letter to Kyrie.

I cannot fathom how you can walk away from winning. You have the best handles in the league and you were a thing of beauty to watch alongside James. Hell, you dropped 40 in an elimination game and, arguably, hit the biggest shot in recent basketball history. Even if you were afraid of James leaving, you would have gotten what you wanted anyways in a team centered around you.

I cherish those memories you produced on the court and I even dug your outlook on a lot of life's many questions but now you are the enemy and I wish failure on you.

You wanted out, go prove to the league who your ego thinks you are. If you under achieve moving forward, you will always be looked at as your talent was inflated playing with LBJ.

I hate the Boston Celtics.

Not in a million years.

It's a good trade for Cavs. And they know have a loaded gun with BKN pick. Can swap that for almost anyone who becomes available at deadline if they want.

Does this trade get the Cavs any closer to the Warriors? IMO, no....but it does give them two things they didn't really have before....assets and leverage (against Lebron).

actually, if the Nets suck again and we get the #1 pick as projected, and it turns out to be a stud--maybe LBJ doesn't want to leave then?

This gives them flexibility. With the addition of Crowder, they can now move Shump. Other guys can also be moved. Also it sounds like Wade may be on board, not that I think he brings a lot to the table. That draft pick gives them leverage to either use near the trade deadline or hold onto to build for the future if he bolts.

To me, the key to this trade will be IT's health. He should replace Kyrie's points but I think the Warriors feared Kyrie and the Cavs don't have that now.

^^^all good points, but the bottom line is the Cavs had their backs up against the wall with moving KI, so IMO, this was a damn good trade all things considered

I think this was about the best they were going to do. He had to be moved. There was speculation that he planned on "no showing" for training camp which would've been a real bad look in a critical year (Lebron).

Me too.

Really the Nets pick is what makes this a good deal for the cavs. Especially if it's the #1 overall.

Lebron leaves, draft Bagley and rebuild around him. Lebron stays, send that pick to a team who's about to lose their star player (like a Davis).

New Orleans isn't trading AD when he has 3, possibly 4, years left on his contract.

Here's hoping Tatum never amount to shit in the NBA. Wish the Cavs held their fucking feet to the fire.

Didn't realize he had that many years left. So forget about him, but I'm sure there are some star players out there on 1-2 years left of their contract that would want out of their current team.

I'd take Cousins from them. Would love watching him BF the warrirors in the finals. Half of their team would foul out.

AI could literally hold Lebron by his balls and the refs wouldn't call it.

True, see end of game 1 2015 Finals.
