“Young. Youth. Kids … listen, the inmates are in charge. So when the inmates are in charge, nothing but bad things can happen, right?”

Some ESPN show had David Griffin on and they asked him about the Kyrie situation. Griffin said he thinks KI will "definitely be traded" and said KI "handled this the right way....he went to Gilbert, behind the scenes, and asked to be moved. Instead of not being "all in" and dragging the team down." He actually said that what KI did took "courage."

He's on a championship caliber team and wants to leave because he's not "the man"

Spare me the courageous bullshit, griffin.

Irving took more shots than LeBron in the NBA finals. He also took more shots than the League's MVP in the finals. What exactly is he looking for?

The small picture with the C is the "flap" on side panel of the shorts, by the knee. Pretty cool little feature.

I really like these. Will be interesting to see the 2 alternates Nike comes up with.

I think the Adidas uniforms were great and I have no problem with these. What I'm really excited about is that Adidas makes shitty fan gear, but Nike usually has stuff that looks good and fits well.

92.3 had Bucher on yesterday and he said that there are some in the Cavs organization that feel the KI situation can be fixed. He also firmly believes that LBJ will leave after this season.

I have a hard time taking anything Bucher says seriously with anything related to the Cavs. He legitimately picked the heat over the cavs for Lebron's first two seasons back.

I'd have to believe the shock would be in Lebron didn't leave correct?

I don't. I think he stays. He's sensitive and I don't think he can handle the way the fans turned on him.

From Woj, but fuck ESPN

https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/247180/Kristaps-Porzingis-Emerges-As-Cavaliers-Primary-Trade-Target

"Kristaps Porzingis has emerged as the Cleveland Cavaliers' primary target in Kyrie Irving trade discussions.
Porzingis would give the Cavaliers a young star who could also help them immediately as he enters his third NBA season.
The Cavaliers would need to take on the three seasons and $55 million remaining on the contract of Joakim Noah in order to begin a conversation with the New York Knicks.
During Phil Jackson's final days as president of the Knicks, he explored the trade market of Porzingis.
Multiple NBA teams are questioning how emphatic the Knicks will continue to be on their "no" in trading Porzingis for Irving. Porzingis remains distant from the organization."

I'd like to see that. Even though he'll be going to the East, Irving won't do much. NY will be a dumpster fire for a while.

I'm starting to think more & more that the Cavs are going to end up settling for a fairly shitty "haul" for Kyrie and I think they have Lebron to blame for it.

How so? Did LeBron force out Griffin? Did he turn Kyrie into a bitch?

No and no are the answers. IF they got a shitty haul, they have no one to blame but themselves. Time is on their side. They've had months (and counting) to figure out the plan. This isn't like the Pacers where they panic and say "Oh shit PG is leaving next year and with him we're a #6 seed at best so let's trade him for pennies on the dollar."

The question I've been wondering, however, is if they don't trade him during the offseason, how long into the season do they hang onto him? He's been a bitch and it'd be a shame if he was just a cancer all season long and hindered their goals.

I think Lebron and his camp leaked that KI wanted traded and that KI didn't talk to his teammates during the playoffs.

KI supposedly went to Gilbert, in PRIVATE, and requested to be traded. Then, somehow the word just gets out there. The fact that it's now common knowledge that KI wants out of Cleveland has put the Cavs in a bad spot, as far as getting good value for Irving. Had this not leaked and the front office had been able to tell a team "btw....Kyrie is also on the table if you're interested" versus "hey everybody, Kyrie wants out of Cleveland" they would've been in a much better bargaining place. When the Suns won't even part with Josh Jackson, it says a lot on the likely value the Cavs are going to get in return.

Could the Cavs tell KI "too bad, you're playing here this year?" Sure, but the situation will be even more effed up than normal as far as dysfunctional.

I'll agree that this has been a bitch move by KI but I don't think it was his camp that got the word out that he wants traded. In fact, he and his agent still haven't confirmed it, to my knowledge.
