Yeah you typically try to hide people you know aren't any good. It was pretty clear early on in camp that Kizer was going to be the best QB on the roster. So give him the reps. In the end, I guess it doesn't matter. This season will be a success if we win a couple games and Kizer shows strides to being the guy. If he doesn't and we have to draft another qb.. well that is kinda our thing anyways.

Based on what (not doubting you, just hoping Hue get's to do what he wants)? Brock's comment about "talk to the GM" was really dumb and petty.

Sort of like he has about any time anyone has questioned whether he has what it takes to be a starting QB in the league? He's had some snippy responses to those sorts of questions, like he thinks he was responsible for Denver being so good the year when they won that Super Bowl. News flash, pal, Peyton was completely broken down and they still wanted him over you in clutch time.

Maybe him and Jay Cutler are brothers from another mother?

Possible. Very possible. If Oswiler looks like a natural with a photoshop'd cig in his mouth, definitely.

The Browns could be fun to watch this year. Both units look much more cohesive tonight.

Kizer hasn't been perfect. Stats are worse than they appear actually. But he's by far the best qb option they have. Plenty to work on still. But it's nice to see a browns qb go downfield and not dink and dunk all night.

If they had a WR besides Coleman who could catch the ball, things would look a bit different. Only time I heard Britt's name was when he got caught for a personal foul.

Very impressed with this defense. Plus, I like the fact Gregg Williams has a set and won't play that prevent shit....always attacking.

Kizer showed me enough tonight to know Hue made the right call with him. Didn't take stupid sacks, like Kessler, and showed much more poise. Duke doesn't cough up that fumble and that drive likely ends in points.

Kizer was 6/18 <100 yards 0 tds 1 int.

I'm "team kizer" but let's not pretend he's securely won the job. He is probably good for 4 wins on this team, and that's with a pretty good defense.

He securely won the job weeks ago. He's the only qb on the roster that can complete a pass further than 15 yards. That fact alone opens the playbook up so much more for Hue that he's secured the job. I get what you're saying. He's got a ton of room for improvement. His accuracy has always been his issue and it was tonight too. But he's the only qb that moves the offense. Period. No one else on this roster is going to start because they're incapable of doing so. But yeah... we're not going to win a ton until he fixes his flaws. It'll take time.

Also. There's 11 winnable games on this schedule. Don't be surprised if they get more than 4.

I didn't phrase that the right way, because drunj.

What I meant is, let's not pretend he won the job because he's played so well. He won the job because the other qb's on the roster suck balls and shouldn't even be in the NFL.

He's played alright, at best. I'm still not sold he's the QB of the future.

Yeah he didn't set the world on fire. He made some good throws though. Made some bad ones too. Locked down on some receivers too often. You're going to get that with a 21 year old.
This season will show if he's the future or not. I will say he's shown an arm and cerebralness that the Browns haven't had since the return.
