What a trade rape we took Brock and got a 2nd rd pick for taking his contract basically. Definitely more ammo to use to go get garrapolo. An absolute brilliant move.

I am confident that jimmy g is a good QB. I think if he wasn't, the patriots would be giving him up with open arms. They're holding onto him because they don't want to give him up, but if the browns make them a nice offer they have to accept since they still have 3-4 more years out of brady at an elite level. They'd be stupid not to.

As mentioned, this is a brilliant move by the front office...like an NBA "dump" trade. Browns got more ammo for a QB trade and hopefully can somehow get another 3rd out of this.
The Hoodie loves him some 2nd round picks. The Browns now have 5 over the next two years. May not happen but could see the Browns front office sending a load of 2nd rounder's to NE for JG without touching any of this years 1st's.
Even if that isn't their intent, and they don't want to trade for Cousins either, they have the ammo to move back up in this draft to grab a QB if they so desire.

Polian is an idiot. Had the balls, in hindsight, to say the Colts were the only ones to have a 1st round grade on Tom Brady but didn't pick him because they already had Peyton Manning. True, but you also don't want the 6th round pick coming in and out performing your star QB. Nice move for the Browns, I really like how they are doing their rebuild. I'm hoping the Jets will follow a similar plan.
