Miller getting hurt by having to catch more of the zone to get called strikes.

Ha, now Maddon looks like a genius for bringing in Ross with Lester who proceeds to hit homer.

Arrieta needs to be warming up and should be the next pitcher.

Lester has nothing. He better use his 72 mph curve

Gotta stop blaming the umps...there's a reason the Cubs had the best record in baseball and were picked to win the whole thing--they're just better than us. We got to game 7 with a patchwork pitching staff and an inconsistent offense, and nobody on here realistically thought we'd get this far. As COA so eloquently put it--tonight, our pitching sucked and our bats have gone silent. Game over.

10,000+ Cubs fans? Every general camera shot it looks 50/50 but they are just showing bottom section. I imagine other seats are closer to 80/20

All of that is true up until the last two words. Still 10 outs left.vball10set;1821418 wrote:Gotta stop blaming the umps...there's a reason the Cubs had the best record in baseball and were picked to win the whole thing--they're just better than us. Maybe Guyer in center would have been the ticket

Wow Holbrook is doing a terrible job. He's going to give Chapman a bigger zone because he'll be unsure because he's struggling with these guys on 88-93

Good news for Indians fans, Cubs are historical chokers. Maybe they've got another choke in em.

I guess not. I guess a catcher in 1911, when they must have considered the series exhibition games, tried to teach the pitcher a lesson by refusing to chase a wild pitch, allowing 2 runs to score -- maybe that's when they started calling the catchers equipment "the tools of ignorance"!mhs95_06;1821390 wrote:That has to be the first ever WP scoring 2 runs in the World Series. Somewhere around 20%. The bulk of them bought up the tickets down the 1st base line behind the Cubs dugout. I'm sure that's what they keep showing.

Last chance effort....hope Allen is on (as he has been all postseason)....if he's not on it won't matter if Chapman is
