But LeClos got 2nd using the wall lane and hugging the wall and swimming through the smooth water. It was a crazy race and shocked Gowdy. King had the most exciting/biggest build up so far and it didn't let down....this will definitely surpass that thoughironman02;1806342 wrote:No doubt he was holding back too. I wonder if NBC's strategy of showing Phelps every five minutes while saying something like "Phelps is hitting the pool soon!" when really it ends up being another 90 minutes away is working.

Nate Ebner just bulldozed over a Brazilian rugby player on his way to scoring.

Women's gymnastics wins gold, by a pretty large margin.

I believe this also happened on every score that Fiji had against Brazil. It was crazy to see. Fiji and US tomorrow at 12:30.

Man Phelps, Kendershi and Sakai had awesome races.
Phelps busted out, led whole way and had best last stroke to beat Sakai who was almost hidden in lane 7. Sakai's last strike into the wall was strange and may have cost him the gold. Kendershi was a big worry but was way behind after a 100-125...then he tore down the last 50 and made a great run. Even dumbass LeClos congratulated Phelps afterwards.
That was good tv.

I didn't even notice Sakai until the replay. Just about as close as it gets.Ironman92;1806515 wrote:Man Phelps, Kendershi and Sakai had awesome races.
