I'm not going to look at the stats for every championship season but in 2007 for instance he lead the team in points, minutes, games played/started, rebounds, shots attempted.

Hell even in 2007, when Parker won FMVP, Timmy still averaged 18/12.

Did they get by Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Robert Parish, Dennis Johnson, Danny Ainge and Bill Walton? The worst starter on that NBA Championship team averaged 15.6/5.2/4.2/2.3 for the playoffs.

Besides Bird, none of those players would be all stars in today's game. The nostalgia is nice but the reality is players today are bigger, stronger, faster along with playing against the world's best instead of just the USA's best.

That is the reality.

Him going forward will be fun to watch. Looking ahead for him to catch Kareem he'll need 6 more full seasons of his typical scoring...surely sounds doable or maybe he plays 4 more good years and 4 more years with some injuries and a lesser ceiling...both sound quite reasonable. Looking at games played though he may need longer than he wants to hang on though. If LeBron plays 75 games a year for 6 years he'll be over 1400 career games. To put into perspective Tim Duncan and Kobe are both still short of 1400 career games, mix in the fact LeBron will have blown way past the career playoff game totals and it may be longer and more wear and tear than he wants. I hope he does hang on and also hope Durant doesn't have the longevity to catch him (doubtful IMO)
