Im on the road or traveling now with this new national vp position but those days that im not traveling, I have to be in the office 8 to 5 this sucks.
Im more use to coming and going as I wanted ( that the advantage of ownership). Come in early work late, take the next day off, work late 1/2 day or just free wheeling the next day.
How in the hell do you function doing a scheduled work day job it sucks and I can't get anything done at home. I have to cram everything into the weekend... Hell I haven't been to the pistol range in two weeks...
I am with ya man. Last few weeks my part time job had me out of state doing some cool stuff and now that I am back at my regular job...it really does suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

agree
I'm going to have to train this owner.. I travel and I'm gone for two three days youll not going to see me for a few days. If he does see the logic then I'm walking. But first I think I will nail a big account an then surprise him with the new work schedule for me, if he does agree then I will dump the new account with a simple phone call. ... I'm that good...and I really don't care...that the advantage of not having to work...

TRANSLATION: I'm telling the boss what hours I'll be working. If he doesn't agree, I'll sabotage him right there by dumping a big account."

And this is a guy who rants about the "entitlement" mentality of others because they want more money and/or benefits for their low-level jobs. The comedy of real life people always wins out over the comedy of TV, movies, etc.

My part time job had me in louisiana for a month, new jersey for 3 weeks and georgia for a 3 weeks recently and have had minimal access! Plus with all the very solid and bold moves by the browns recently I am going to need to get a good early start on getting the jinx going on them. I am quickly learning that I need to find a job that gets me outside more often. Each time I come back from field work I die a little bit inside being back in an office setting.

yep... Same same .... If the office, owner, operation and production needs me in the office to tell them what to do, then they may not like what I have to say or who should learn their job discription and do it.
My skills and knowledge is best servied face to face with potential / present customers not hand holding in the office ...

How does a part time job interfere with a full time job and you can still keep your full time job?

No one was supposed to remember that! Plus, with the acquisition of RGIII and the great job they did with the latest trade it is a foregone conclusion they will get it within 2 seasons.

I'm sure if you feel that way, they'd be glad to dump you in place of someone who isn't part of the Entitlement Boomer generation who actually is willing to fulfill the terms of this position.

Yeah, and I know it gets frustrating at my job but some of it is mandatory, some of it is just opportunities I do not want to pass up. Always cool, no matter the suck, to go to different places and do some cool stuff. How many other people get the opportunity to get flown down south for a few weeks, 3 meals paid for a day, a free place to stay, and get to jump out of a perfectly good airplane and get paid to do it? Just some things you cannot let pass you by. PLus when I am gone I spend virtually zero money so it is a win-win in my book!

Just to make us all better workers (and for the lulz), could you please show an example of things that you would write in a "job discription?"
