I've never been convinced at any point that he cares.

Because he is a double spy for the Cards! If that one dude got, what 4 years, for hacking into another clubs computers what could he get for infiltrating the reds and sabatoging them????

It will get done. It just a lower end minor league guy.

Doesn't look definite at all.

One of the lower pieces with medical issue. Jocketty is the worst.

It is just one of the minor league throw ins that has the medical issue, not the "main" pieces and they expect this to go through but with likely a diff ML player. Hopefully Jock sees this as an omen and pulls the deal.

Remember when Bowden gave the reds 'damaged goods' in a trade a number of years ago? Forget whom it all involved though.

Dilson Herrera in, Brandon Nimmo out. Nimmo was not the one who had suspect medical records, but indicators are the Reds preferred him to Nimmo and the Mets compromised to compensate for the medical questions. Doesn't sound like the "2 other prospects" part changed at all.

Now ESPN is saying Nimmo could be in the deal as well. We'll see.

Are we happy or nah about Herrera instead of Ninmo?

I'd rather have Herrera, but it sounds like he's another Jose Peraza type. Contact/speed middle infielder. At some point, factoring in Suarez, Senzel, Peraza, Herrera, etc...the Reds need to find some openings in the infield. Not to mention we have no idea how long Phillips will continue to steal at-bats.

I know when the Pirates traded Herrera to the Mets to get Marlon Byrd, the general consensus was that he was the sort of player where it could bite Pittsburgh to give him up just for a two-month rental, but haven't paid enough attention to him after that to know if that's looking like it is the case. He was moving up the "highly regarded" line in Pittsburgh's low minors at that time, but that doesn't really mean anything a couple years later.

He was a top 50 prospect at a younger age, but was rushed to the majors at 20 years old. He and Peraza could be a very solid middle infield. Unfortunately, we won't see it this year. Instead, we will get a bunch of shitty Cozart and Phillips.

Why Cozart wasn't dealt is baffling. Dude is 30 and having a career year. Get whatever you can. There's zero chance he signs an extension with the Reds.

Reds also got 19-year old SP Max Wottell, the Mets 3rd round pick last season. He's definitely the higher upside player in the deal but is also 3 years away at the earliest.

Irritating as hell because he refused to use Iglesias or even Lorenzen and sucky relief pitchers gave up 2 late inning leads but Joey Votto with 4 hits, Duvall with a 2 run bomb and Scott Schebler BLASTS a monstrous walk off HR for his 3rd hit of the game.

Reds left 7 runners on over 3 late innings trying to pull away but relievers gave up HR to 1st batters twice to make it worse.

What an ending though...WOW

Why is this team winning? WTF?

Joey Votto since the All Star break...

28 for 54, 4 HR, 11 RBI, 17 walks, 9 K, 18 runs, 1.421 OPS. Not bad. Should win NL POM.

FS1 talking heads were thinking out loud Matheny may not have their closer even swing it so he 'wouldn't get hurt' and he went down looking.

Had a feeling it would bite 'em in the ass. MONSTER slam! Bellowed out a loud "Did he?" when he hit that moon shot!

Interesting to see Votto be nice to that fan. Now that he is hitting well I wonder if his demeanor changes..

Gotta bat Votto 2nd....we keep coming up late in the game with Holt and De Jesus

That loss sucked. Love how Schebler looks now, Smith looked good and something has clicked with Suarez on defense because he went from abysmal to very very good.

Looking for a 6th straight series win and it looks good facing Leake and I'll be in attendance with my 5 consecutive game attending winning streak. It looks promising but feel both our streaks will be over.

way to jinx 'em!
I know Price said Reed was going to stay up and learn up here but man, I almost think he needs a break and go back down to AAA to work on some things.
