This bullpen. Add to it Price sucks at who to pitch and when the 2x a week it might matter

Fucking seriously. Can any of these guys consistently not suck?

This is why I was mad last night when Ohlendorf fooled them in the 8th and then he didn't pitch the 9th. Not often are any of them effective, but when they are they need to stay in

The especially frustrating part is that they've been in a lot of these games. The bullpen has blown like 10 of 14 opportunities?

Absolutely loving how the team is playing lately. Again, aside from a miracle 5-1 start, this is the worst team in baseball. At least the Braves came to their senses and fired the worst manager in MLB. Now, he resides in Cincinnati.

Hopefully we see some guys dumped soon (Phillips, Bruce, Simon, Straily, the whole bullpen, etc).

We might get to actually see some guys in AAA who give us something to watch (Stephenson, Reed, Winker, Peraza).

Sunday not much better, squander 3-0 and 4-2 leads. Bullpen goes 4 scoreless, but the starter struggled to get thru 5, giving up 3 in the 5th to go along with 2 in the 3rd. But the offense fails to add on much after the initial 3-0 working margin gained in the 1st.

Wonder if Phillips is second guessing his choice to nix the trades......

Wouldn't make sense if he was. Clearly he doesn't care about being on a contender and anyone could've seen this year's Reds would be a disaster. He chose to stay put.

Then again, he holds all the leverage. He's got a no-trade clause and a guaranteed contract. Apparently, he's selfish and wanted someone to pay him to waive the no-trade clause.

Yep. Got greedy and now he has to live with it.
I mean, seriously, how bad could it be playing a game for millions of dollars and really have little pressure because the team is going to suck.

but still, playing on a winning team is a helluvalot more fun than a terrible team. I have been on both (HS of course), and if someone asked me today if I could go back and play on that awful team and get some $$$, or the good team and do it for free man I would take the good team!

Buy or sell them winning less than two games on this ten-game road trip.

With the current staff, it's going to be rough. Finnegan has a fabulous start last night, but of course, Kershaw.

Three runs total in three games. Losing streak at ten games and 13 out of last 14.

Before last night, BP was 8 for his last 57. Looked like he might gain a little trade value, but he sure has tanked from a hot start.

Defense has slid a bit as well.

Old age....and likely a little lack of focus on defense.
Would say its tougher to stay totally focused when the pitching and team is this bad. Not making excuses, just human nature.

Lamb is an average relief arm. At full strength, he's got no shot at being a starter.

Bailey
Reed
Stephenson
Iglesias
Finnegan
DeSclafani

It would be nice to get Bailey back and find a way to potentially deal him, but unlikely.

Everyone else fills out the pen.

Of course, this is in an ideal world, and this is the Reds. We're so far away from "ideal" right now it's crazy.

Moscot's ERA is now 7.13, but also the lowest of any of the 4 Reds pitchers used in this game
