Season is long from over. Getting some guys back from injury as well as bringing up some from minors.

LOL...the season has been over since opening day. The Braves are the worst team since the 2003 Tigers. They will be even worse once they dump Teheran, Aybar, Markakis and Freeman.
I'm still bitter when wins come with guys like Blake Wood getting saves. Nice to see the rotation starting to get normal with Finnegan, DeSclafani and Lamb.

If they are going to ever get rid of Bruce...it has to be soon. Just before the ASB it's not crazy like after the break. He is about as hot as he can get. Extra base hit machine right now.

Reds offense plays efficient offensive baseball in the 4th, scoring 3 runs on a walk and 2 hits with none out and two good run scoring RBI outs by Duvall and De Jesus. But they still trail by 1 as Votto blew DeScalfani's 3rd inning out of the water with a terrible throw home on a force out, extending the inning for 3 unearned runs and bunches of pitches resulting in the P leaving the game.
Votto has made a textbook addendum of how not to make squared-up, on balance throws tonight with two absolutely terrible ones. While the Reds rookie shortstop made an addendum on how to actually do it properly on a throw home for a tag play.

I have never seen a strikeout hit batter and be a dead ball. If it was a dead ball why did they let runners advance at all? Holt would've scored easily. Oh well, just going to lose.

Good game, tough loss. Smith pitched great in relief. Very excited about Reed.

Didn't get to see Reed pitch but Price was very happy from what it seemed.
I like to follow up on the trades.
For Leake: 5-4 and just over a 4 ernie.
Duvall. 20 HR, nearly 50 RBIs and hitting 260.
Mella: 22 yr old and still in single A. Decent stats this year but very far off...
For Cueto: 10-1 2.1 era
Reed. Solid first start for the reds.
Lamb: Flaky starter, 3.24 era the last 3 starts and two of those gave up just 1 ER in both.
Finnegan: 3.5 ERA is last 3 starts.
Will have to check out Frazier, and Chapman later.
Could see the Missile in Chicago soon...

Given how they have performed (outside of Cueto, who is still a stud), the Reds have gotten more production out of the guys they have dealt for than the other teams are getting. Notably, Latos, Simon and Leake. Frazier is what he is, and Chapman has been pretty dominant for New York.
