Who is Meyer's pet QB out of Texas? Dwayne Haskins is from Maryland.

Tristen Wallace is from Texas, but he decommitted and is at Oregon now.

Also, I'm a huge Joe Burrow fan and I think he could be really good, but Barrett is a proven winner at the collegiate level. The job is his until he leaves.

Indeed. The drunk guy who starts talking "controversy" because Barrett wasn't good during a glorified practice where he personally was highly limited in what he could do, due to wearing a black jersey.

The "drunk guy" was there Herelip - I saw a second team kid that throws technically a better pass than JT ever has. JT is the solid starter no doubt in anybody's mind. But if he misfires after 2 or 3 games (like he did last year all you armchair Lombardis...) Burrows showed enough promise to consider a change if it comes to that. I'm pretty sure I know more about football (especially OSU football...) thanthe rest of you combined.

Is Burrow a Meyer system guy or more prostyle?

If it's the latter, he won't see the field unless Barrett gets injured. Meyer learned his lesson last year, that flip flipping nonsense is for the birds.

Burrows definitely leans towards the pro-style prototype. Scampered for some short first down yards a couple of times when flushed from the pocket tho. Solid kid not afraid to take or dliver a hit. Meyers seems to love Haskins already so he'll probably jump right into the #2 spot.

You know by now S&L I will never post an "I Was There" pic...its too much fun watching you and like_that climb all over each other trying to be first to call me out on it...soooo predictable.

You can slur your words or use a slur to describe someone's mother.

I think the lesson was Tom Herman wasn't easy to replace. It's obvious the system can succeed without true running QB's, Meyer has won a Nat'l Championship with both Cardale Jones and Chris Leak. The running ability isn't as important as the decision making in Meyer's offense. We could all see the playcalling was suspect until those last 3 games.

Pro style? He was every bit the spread QB growing up in HS, he loves running and scrambling around to make throws

He played against 140 lb LBs in a country bumpkin league in SE (almost WV...) OH, of course he could scramble against that type of competition. If he values his ability to walk the rest of his life I believe he'll stay a bit more anchored in the pocket while in The B1G.
