So I'm confused...Hummer rear ends Smith in Mercedes, who then rear ends Chevy as a result of collision. The picture on the Twitter off the eleven warriors article shows a Hummer on Chevy bumper. Where the heck is Smiths Mercedes?
edit : never mind...I mis read the Mercedes model...thought it was a sedan

@TonyGerdeman
Cardell Hayes father was shot and killed by New Orleans police in 2005. Will Smith had dinner last night with one of the officers involved.
He writes for the O Zone.

Here's what I found:wildcats20;1791232 wrote:There is an article from the New Orleans Advocate the has the details...but whenever I click on it, I get 100 different pop ups on my phone.
Cardell Hayes, the suspect in former Saints Pro Bowler Will Smith's fatal shooting late Saturday, filed a high-profile lawsuit against the city of New Orleans after police officers killed his father in a December 2005 incident, his ex-attorney confirmed Sunday.
One of the defendants mentioned in that lawsuit had dined with Smith shortly before the former football pro was killed.
Hayes' father, Anthony, was mentally unstable and had gotten into an argument with an employee at a St. Charles Avenue pharmacy while holding a pocket knife when officers shot and killed him, officials said. Hayes, now 28, sued for damages, alleging that officers should have used non-lethal force -- such as a stun gun -- to subdue his father, but none of the cops had such a tool.
The litigation was settled in 2011 for an undisclosed amount of money that could be described as "large," said attorney Ike Spears, who represented Hayes in that matter but is not involved in the Smith case.
Ceravolo on Sunday said he was eating dinner with Smith and former Saints running back Pierre Thomas at a restaurant in the Lower Garden District shortly before authorities said Smith was rear-ended by Cardell Hayes, 28, on a nearby street. One of the defendants named in the lawsuit Hayes filed against the city was Billy Ceravolo, who retired from the New Orleans Police Department as a captain in 2013 after 25 years on the force. The lawsuit accused Ceravolo of being among several officers to fatally shoot Anthony Hayes.
Police allege that Hayes fatally shot Smith and wounded his wife, Racquel, during an argument that erupted after the collision.
Ceravolo, who called Smith and Thomas personal friends, said he was not at the scene of the shooting when it occurred and was not aware that Hayes had named him in his federal lawsuit.
Police detained Hayes on Saturday night and booked him with second-degree murder on Sunday morning after questioning him.
Aside from his wife, Smith's survivors include three young children.
Check back with The New Orleans Advocate for more details on Smith's fatal shooting later.

Interesting comments from the attorney of the accused.
He basically implied that the other parties and not his client were intoxicated, and his client wasn't the only one with access to a weapon.
I'm sure there will be more details and this will be a pretty high profile case.

I might be heading to Cbus on Friday. It depends on the bus schedule to my hometown. Flights were outrageous.
I won't go to the game, but I'll party like it's a real football Saturday. It's been a long time!

Burrow looked good, JT not so much. Liked Gibson, Webber, Hooker and Baker.

Do we have a QB Controversy brewing in Cbus? I sure liked the way Burrows was throwing the ball compared to JT. Of course Meyer's new pet QB out of TX hasn't even showed up yet.

Yeah, the glorified scrimmage is going to make us change from an all-conference, experienced, heisman hopeful QB to Burrows. Right.

The most popular guy on the team will always be the second string quarterback. (Except when Bauserman was second string. He was fucking terrible)

Really? Burrows is not going to be more popular than JT Barrett. No one knows Burrow.FatHobbit;1792200 wrote:The most popular guy on the team will always be the second string quarterback. (Except when Bauserman was second string. He was fucking terrible)
Two years ago, people weren't excited about Cardale coming in for Barrett(or for that matter, JT for Braxton) but it turned out fine.
The exception to this rule is if the starting QB is straight terrible which in this it would be hard to argue that JT is straight terrible.

I'm not saying he should be, but it seems like there are always people who are ready for the backup when the starter makes a mistakesleeper;1792216 wrote:Really? Burrows is not going to be more popular than JT Barrett. No one knows Burrow.

That's a cleveland browns thing...not a football thing. Unless, like sleeper said, your starting qb is sketchy to begin with. JT is not in troubleFatHobbit;1792243 wrote:I'm not saying he should be, but it seems like there are always people who are ready for the backup when the starter makes a mistake
