Do you think anyone got their assed ripped over last night's game not being able to be televised for several minutes and having to halt the game because replay could not be used because FOX lost power?
Oh yeah. Engineers and Tech Manager onsite. Whatever company providers the trucks (I assume NEP, but might've been NCP). The producer was no doubt screaming at all of them, and I assume the head of FOX Sports baseball and fox sports in general were sitting in there flipping out as well.

Yeah...that's the picture I was guessing

FOX did an outstanding job handling the Volquez death of his father. They were perfect with their decisions on that.

Without hesitation....I'm putting Harvey back out for the 9th

"It's not an easy decision. Gotta think about winning this game but also have to think about the future."

Fuck that. I'm sending him out there. An extra inning isn't going to ruin his future and you gotta win now when you're in the World Series.

Even though he got two of the first 3 called strikes, Harvey has lost command from excitement.

Familia not good at stranding inherited runners, so the game is essentially tied!

That is tough right there. You had to send him back out there, but I might have pulled him after the first runner reached.

Should have went to third with that as far as Hosmer was off the bag. Mental errors killing the Mets this series.

That is the base-running risk you can afford to take when you're up 3-1 in the series and force the 3rd blown save, with the first 2 why you've got the 3-1 lead.

If you don't win it in the bottom of the 9th, who pitches the 10th?

I don't disagree with Collins 1 bit. I would've allowed him 1 base runner as well.

Terrible throw by Duda or it's over

Whoever on the team gives you the best chance to win this game.

Even with a good throw he had such a jump I am not sure they get him.

Hosmer would have easily gotten safely back to 3rd had Wright went after him. SS should have fielded the ball while Wright went back to 3rd to keep Hosmer from getting such a lead off 3rd that he could make it close, and SS had a better angle to keep an eye on Hosmer until he let the throw go for first. A less defensively challenged first baseman would have helped also. Mets sacrificed a lot of defense having Murphy at 2B, Duda at 3B, and Cespedes in CF.

You are playing to win 3 in a row, not just tonight so cannot overly risk the next 2 games!

Let me put it this way.....Colon better not pitch in this game before Syndergaard.

Degrom in 6 and Matz in 7.....if Syndergaard goes 1 or 2 innings he could pitch 1 or 2 on Wed, as could Harvey

as could Harvey
They said on the broadcast that even if it goes 7 tonight was it for Harvey this season. Having blown past his innings limit already I doubt they would bring him back on 2 days rest even if only for a few innings.

Would be his day to pitch on the side.

They've already surpassed his number by 36 innings.

2-3 innings of Harvey in game 7 to maybe win a World Series or use Colon and lessen the chance of winning it all.

Mets are all in.....too late and too far into their ways to revert back to the extreme cautious plan by money hawk Scott Boras.

Kind of amazing the Royals won the World Series. They are the first of the real mid market teams to finish the job.

They are a model franchise right now as far as developing talent, spending in their contention window, and then making it count when they get there.

Thought they might be a one hit wonder after last year, but clearly that wasn't the case.

You don't consider St L Cardinals a mid market team? They are not in the top 10 for team salaries and spend only slightly more than KC.

They have always hovered in the top half of team salaries (between 10-15) so I kind of excluded them because they have always spent enough to win.

KC was traditionally a cheap franchise until 2014, and ownership stepped up finally and spent enough to give them a legit chance to win.

2013 their opening day payroll was less than the Tribe. To put an extra $30+ million into the payroll since then is what helped them finally turn the corner.

Of course St. Louis is a model franchise, but they have been contending for 15 years now so it is old hat. KC to me is like we all wish the Tribe would be in that they have maximized their contention window and ownership pushed themselves a bit when I am sure they weren't rolling in money as I think that market is as small as ours.

Bad teams can identify with KC far more than St. Louis right now in that KC was still bad pretty recently, and have at least given teams a quasi blue print of how to take the leap from destitute to contention.
