Josh Donaldson saving the day seems appropriate.

At least the Rangers have Andrus locked up for 8 more years at $15 mil per.

I haven't changed my philosophy and pitch count is moot.....in the playoffs, in the middle of an inning I'm not taking out my stud until the game is tied or he loses the lead....or he says he's done.

All I gots to say is the seventh inning of that Jays/Rangers game was one of the most insane and exciting things in sports I've ever seen.

1. Super bizarre play of Martin tossing the ball off Choo's bat to bring in a run.

2. Near riot.

3. Three straight Ranger errors load the bases. Elvis Andrus contemplates seppuku.

4. Weird pop-up drops behind 2B to tie the game.

5. Bautista!

6. Bautista's Bat Flip!!!!

7. More near rioting. Someone gets bonked. Ranger reliever who gives up homer tries to start something by being a bitch, re: bat flip.

8. Bannister gets security over to remove fan(s) near dugout.

9. After inning, bitch reliever apparently tries to start something again by saying something to Tulo.

Pure epic awesomeness for 43 fucking minutes or however long they said the inning took!

Yet another time where you just don't take out the starting pitcher with the lead in the middle of an inning during the playoffs (would rarely ever do it during the season).....he could not have been under more duress and an insane 37 pitches, but no one is more invested in a game than the guy on the mound.

David Price with the counterargument.

Yep....a simple bloop botch defensive play started it and the Royals, like the Cards the year they beat the Rangers never look back.....these playoffs have had about 6 instances where the reliever came in in those situations and gave it up....to 2 times on the David Price side.

Notice the big comebacks are always...single, single, walk, single, out, double, out, single, out.....That Cardinals team just kept taking the hits and the Royals are just like them....not swinging for home runs in those big rally innings.

Are you serious? If you think they are going to sweep Toronto, you are crazy.

Lol I actually laughed out loud at his post. Especially how you posted that over a week ago, and they won what? 3 straight games since? Haha he then waits until they are down 9-2 before posting that. Awesome

"may" is an important word in my post.....they did their magic in game 4 vs Houston and IMO after that "may never look back"....maybe that is a better description of my thoughts a week ago. Winning game 5, Sweeping the ALCS and World Series is a bit much to ask I agree but didn't think my wording was too hard to understand my sentiments.

John Hirschbeck stands farther inside on righties than any ump I've ever seen.

I've seen worse strike calls than the one against Tulo, but that ejection was weak, he should be out the rest of the series.

Hirschbeck should be out the rest of the series? What's funny is that overall he did a good job I thought and Torre set the umping rotation so he would be the HP ump in what Torre thought was the most important game in a 7 game series...game 3
