Seems you have failed to understand the logical construction of the word "may". Implicit in every use of the word is the possible occurrence of the opposite happening.wghfan;1757971 wrote:Well, now we can just forget the word,"may".
"You may understand what I'm saying." Implicit in that quote is the concept that you may NOT understand what I'm saying.
But Ironman using "may" and then you asserting yourself to say he was "crazy" for thinking they'd sweep the Jays makes you look like a complete ass. Implicit in his post was the logical construct that "the Royals 'may not' not lose again in the postseason."
Next time you want to try and call someone out, make sure that 1) you recognize the timing of your attempted call out and 2) use logic

My God, stop being so serious. Fuck all your technical description of the whole situation. You are the complete ass, for thinking that I was so serious about it.lhslep134;1758161 wrote:Seems you have failed to understand the logical construction of the word "may". Considering the language YOU used, it seems you were the serious one and now you're crying because I called you out on it. Completely typical nowadays: someone acts like an ass, gets called out on it, and then accuses the person calling them out of being an ass.wghfan;1757956 wrote:Are you serious? When all you have is "you're an ass for calling me out on my terrible misuse of logic", I don't need anything else.
If you feel so compelled to try and defend your terrible logic again by calling me an ass, go ahead. It's hilarious that your only responses are "you're an ass" and "it's a public forum who cares" when clearly you care lotz and lotz, based on your repeated responses.
If you post something worthy of a response, I'll respond. But simply put you failed to use logic, got called out on it, and now are acting completely butthurt. Anything additional from me at this point is a waste of energy.

But when does the Ground Rule change? The man was almost to second when the ball hit the ground, because he was stealing. Does it not matter because he was running? Seems like it should. If not, change the stupid rule.

Fork in the Cubs...they are done.
Mets playing better but outside of that ground rule double they are getting every break/close play

How crazy would it be for them to come back and win it?Ironman92;1758223 wrote:Fork in the Cubs...they are done.

A team with Theo Epstein in the front office trying to break a 100 year old curse comes back from 3-0 to beat a team from New York. Then they go on to face a team from Missouri in the World Series. Stop me if you've heard this before.

It would be insane.....and now that I watched them score to go up 4-0 early on....it would be nearly unbelievablesuperman;1758232 wrote:How crazy would it be for them to come back and win it?

Daniel Murphy is absolutely unreal.
How fitting is it that the Cubs are most likely getting eliminated on Back To The Future Day?

What will Murphy get in FA? Career .755 OPS, 30-year old utility infielder. I saw some people on Twitter saying he could get a short-term deal at 10-13M a year? This would be ridiculous.

Man I hope that ruled HR isn't the difference.
KC vs NYM....both teams really get the breaks. Be interesting to see how that plays out
