She works in corporate retail and has switched companies 4 times already in 10 years. I have a feeling this company will be a long term job because it's a start up and she will be in a President or VP position in a couple years the way they are growing
Yeah, I turned down a $13k signing bonus for another company, mainly because the guy seemed kinda of shady and I felt him trying to manipulate conversation several times. Not interested in working for someone like that.

I switched jobs in May 2013. I actually resigned a month (or so early) from that job to focus on a job search because my contract was ending anyway.

Been here since May 2013. Really enjoy it. Probably see a switch again in the next 4 months to 2-4 years. We'll see what opens up any given time and possibly be one of my last job searches.

Went from white collar being a home owners insurance rep for Morgan Stanley to pseudo blue collar working for UPS about five or so years ago. I make less money now but the benefits (union) and no stress make up for it.

Oh, so you made a personal choice to make less money AND you recognize non-financial benefits to having better work/life balance? Interesting...
