Are Britain, Australia, France, Germany...etc etc etc under any kind of "Police State" authority Belly? Nope didn't think so.

There are ways to allow responsible, sane, law-abiding citizens to own hunting and collectible firearms while at the same time making it tough for idiots to own hand guns, auto & semi auto rifles. But we won't do it because basically the majority of people who don't own guns are just a wee bit afraid of the shit for brains that do own them.

You're right:

The Nazi Weapons Act
of 1938

1. Classified guns for sporting purposes
2. All Germans desiring to purchase firearms had to register with the Nazi officials and submit to a background check
3. The law assumed that non-Nazi German citizens were hostile and thereby exempted Nazi’s from the gun control law
4. The Nazi’s assumed unrestricted power to decide what kinds of firearms could, or could not, be owned by private persons
5. The types of ammunition that were legal were subject to control by governmental bureaucrats
6. Citizens under 18 years of age could not buy firearms and ammunition

United States Gun Control Act
of 1968

1 Introduced term “sporting purpose”
2 Exempted government agencies from the controls which applied to law-abiding citizens
3 The Law assumes that mentally ill people will turn their guns on innocents and the government is given the power to limit the purchase by people DEEMED to be a threat by labeling them as mentally ill.
4 Authorized the Secretary of the Treasury to decide what firearms could or could not be owned by private persons
5 The types of ammunition that were legal were subject to control by governmental bureaucrats
6 Age restriction of 18 years and 21 years were applied to anyone who wished to purchase firearms and ammunition

Can we also just change our form of goverment to a Parlimentary and have Obama or any President that not elected by the people answer weekly to Congress...

If guns are going to be banned you will be watching new videos. Much longer. Much bloodier. Much messier. New weapons. Bats. Pipes. Swords. Guns are usually an immediate resolution. The others are drawn out beatings.

This is pretty poor logic. I don't think we should ban guns but at least the new ways to kill someone will be much more inefficient.

I guess he just couldn't handle being a victim.

According to the media, nothing could suck worse than being a gay black man (no pun intended).

... And again, all of these happen because someone's seeking attention for one thing or another... And the media gladly gives it to them. The crazies know this, so stuff like this will continue to happen whether you ban guns or not. Frankly, I expect it to become more frequent as more of the disaffected figure out that they can get the attention of an entire nation by doing something violent.
Until we see this as a media driven problem, the violence will continue, whether there are guns or not.

TWO different assassinations by black people in this past week and Obama has nothing to say on it? And Virginia had clearly racial elements (though dude was pretty messed-up overall). Not sure about the Texas case if it was racism or just the fact he was a cop.

the texas shooting more than likely just because he was a cop. since I am betting the guy wasn't part of some sovereign citizen group, I put the rest of my bets on race related.
