I doubt it. Lakers will get the #1 overall pick. They need to replace Kobe with another star; Ben Simmons.Azubuike24;1789600 wrote:The icing on the cake will be when the draft lottery has the Lakers picking 4th.

People have said the Jazz will beat the Warriors but I doubt it. Warriors are too good.friendfromlowry;1789605 wrote:Few interesting games on tonight:
-Warriors at Jazz. Could be a tough test for Golden State?
-Atlanta at Toronto. Hoping the Hawks can steal this one and take a little pressure off Cleveland.
-Miami at Los Angeles. Kind of want to see how the Lakers interact with this new drama.

I Hope the Lakers remain irrelevant for the next 50 years, but we all know they will get theirs at some point.Azubuike24;1789608 wrote:I'd laugh, because that wouldn't work out.

Brandon Ingram seems like a Laker. Ben Simmons seems like a Sixer.

Perfect world. Philly gets the #1. Lakers get the #4 (which Philly gets in that case). They take Brandon Ingram and then Buddy Hield/Jamal Murray at 4. Grab a scoring big like Ellenson or Hammons at 23 and Tyler Ulis at 27.Mulva;1789613 wrote:Brandon Ingram seems like a Laker. Ben Simmons seems like a Sixer.

Theyd still end up tanking the '16-'17 season somehow.Azubuike24;1789627 wrote:Perfect world. Philly gets the #1. Lakers get the #4 (which Philly gets in that case). They'll find a way to turn the 1 and 4 into 17 second round pics and three league minimum salaries.friendfromlowry;1789631 wrote:Theyd still end up tanking the '16-'17 season somehow.

Yeah, Philly has gotten so many big time draft picks and yet they are still trash.Azubuike24;1789627 wrote:Perfect world. Philly gets the #1. Lakers get the #4 (which Philly gets in that case). I'm not optimistic this will change everything. I'd rather have Love than this group.

To be fair, the bottom 4 playoff teams in the West would struggle to hack it in the East.

With 5 home games left, it's imminent the Warriors are going to break the record. Amazing. I never thought I'd see it happen.

Cue the old timers talking about how the Bulls did it in a much more difficult time in the league.

I could see the Spurs/OKC in the West giving them a run. I will also mention Cleveland in the East because Lebron James.Automatik;1789728 wrote:Who's beating them 4 of 7?
Despite being garbage against the Warriors in the regular season, it's still hard for me to imagine not being able to take 2 more games from the Warriors by adding in Love and Irving to the rotation this year. That's really what I grasp to.
I'd still bet on the Warriors winning it all though.

Yeah, I'd say the Spurs are the best chance. OK just seems too up-and-down (although, they seem to be pretty "up" right now, which is good for them heading into the playoffs), which is where Cleveland is right now. The talent is there, but the cohesion and effort don't seem to be there night-to-night. In the playoffs, when games actually matter for those upper-tier teams, things might be a different story, so you can't count them out. The thing that makes GS and to a lesser extent, SA, so deadly for other teams is that to beat them in a series (GS, at anytime; SA, any series but the conference finals) is that you'd have to win at least one game at their place...which no one has done so far this season.sleeper;1789731 wrote:I could see the Spurs/OKC in the West giving them a run.
