I think S&L is salty that PG said the Pacers aren't scared of the Cavs. Nobody can watch him play the last 4 years (3 healthy) and say he isn't s top 10 player.

Really, flat out top 10? Hmm I hadn't thought about it but you may be right.

Haha, no I'm not salty. I completely forgot about that comment already. It was a dumbfuck thing to say though.

I'm more so biased in favor of Wiggins than I am against George.

I admit I could probably do some more research into George's number. I just think Wiggins is going to be top 5 good, so the comparison to George was ridiculous to me.

Not helping Gasol's case getting blown out by 50 courtesy of the GSW and blown out by the Cavs, but I'd put him in my Top 5.

I could see throwing PG's name into that mix, but he'd be last on that list for me.

I think COA and I are the most pro-Gasol posters on here and while I know he's staying firm that Gasol is there, I'm with you and moving Westbrook in there and dropping Gasol to 6th.

Doing that because Westbrook is finally using all of his tools to his advantage instead of going through periods of pure out-of-control-ness. I've been thoroughly impressed so far.

Westbrook is even more great to watch live.

He is on the court with NBA players, and you can easily see his athleticism is 10x everyone else on the court. It's insane.

Same thing for me when I saw Wall few yrs ago. He was sooo fucking fast with the ball in his hand and open court.

LBJ in person the first time was also a similar experience.

Yep and when you combine that superior athleticism with an increased "basketball awareness", it's been a ton of fun so far.

I put that in quotes because I think Westbrook has always had it in him, he just didn't always make the best play.

Not necessarily right now (young guys have matured and risen). But if you take his last 3 healthy years versus everyone else's 3 healthy years I bet he comes in around the top 10. What he is doing this year, though, has been very impressive.

Their youth gives them a chance if they continue the hot start thru the 1st of the year. If their stars were a few years older I think they might rest them more for the playoffs but I don't think they will. Wonder how badly Kerr would want that record broken?

They've been debating that on The Starters and ESPN NBA Today podcasts. Both said they had the talent to do so, but will need to stay healthy, and focused. I agree. Only 1 team (I think) has done it, so it would be extraordinary if they did.

Also, I'm a big Cavs fans (obviously), but you can't help but just laugh at what Curry and the Warriors are doing, it's incredible. I didn't think I'd see a better team ball type game than the Spurs from the last time they won it, but I think I'm already being proven wrong on that.

I don't see GSW winning 73. They will run in a stretch of games that is tough. I still think they might not even make the finals. We saw last year they struggled when the game slows down in the playoffs, including the Cavs. They just happened to have the personnel to go small against the Cavs with Kyrie and Love out.

Cavs beat GSW last year if either KI or Love were healthy. If both are healthy, its a sweep and the games wouldn't be close.

The reality is, the Cavs have the best team in the NBA. Yes, GSW is the defending champions but if we are talking all-world beating teams, Cleveland has it, not GSW.

Also the Cavs this year are substantially better than last year on day 1. Jefferson and Williams have been surprise solid contributors instead of Miller or whatever other garbage we had to dip into for last year's finals.

The team this year wins the NBA finals last year even without KI or Love. Imagine just having Mo Williams on the team last year; that alone generates another 8-10 ppg.

Another post I know, but Cleveland has a better shot at hitting 72/73W this year than GSW. I think its entirely possible except I think teams these days opt to rest players rather than continuously piling on wins. I don't even think Cleveland cares if it has home court throughout the entire playoffs so I could see them start resting heavily(especially LBJ, the best player in the league) once they are firmly in the top 4 in the East.

I don't think any team will ever get to 73 wins. There just isn't a good reason to stress your team to achieve that.
