We had cornhole, beer pong and barbecue and everyone had a great time.

What will you do if it rains?
We had rain insurance that would have made us forget that it rained and it was only like $300. Totally worth it in my humble opinion as I didn't fret at all about the forecast.

I don't know you, but can I attend your wedding if you have these games? Haha! Seriously, I wish we had an outdoor reception because we would have totally had games for the guests to play. Who doesn't love good food, booze, and games?

To each his own...
Best thing you've said this entire thread...Weddings are basically parties. What's "appropriate" is solely based on what the couple getting married wants. Fab has 180 guests that need a distraction between the ceremony and the reception. What better way than free booze and games?

Also, we had a photobooth and everybody loved it. You get enough liquor in people, and they'll lighten up. Plus, the photobooth company gave us an album of all of the guests' photos. Great way to remember who came to celebrate with us.

I don't want to jinx it, but I feel like it's going to be pretty legit. Even if it rains and we move it indoors, I think it will turn out well. The indoor space is huge, so there would be plenty of room for some of the games either way.

I think we are going to do a homemade photobooth. Just a cute background and props, and people can take pics themselves.

I said the photo booth was a good idea, smart-guy.

The problem I have is with the yard games. I can't picture grandma and grandpa participating in something like that. A photo booth is attractive for all ages.

Not every person at every wedding has to participate in every activity. I know plenty of people who do not drink, or who do not dance. These things are there for the people who want to enjoy them. Just because my 90 year old grandma might not play cornhole doesn't mean it's inappropriate.

Well, it sounds like your wedding is going to be terrible. Make sure you plan it for a football Saturday so you annoy the maximum amount of people.

Don't forget the spit-bowls for those guests who will want to chew tobacco while they play lawn darts.

in your logic, they'd be more upset if she planned it on a race day.

That's a good point. Maybe she could have the wedding on game night and the reception on race day

My "irrational anger" you are misplacing for me just being so perplexed someone could be this far from reality.

That sounds like irrational anger to me. Maybe you need counseling.

Said has many usernames, but I don't think it is monty. Monty is trying too hard to be witty and said is way too dumb to even try to be witty.
