Entering All-Star break, Cavaliers have NBA's highest local TV ratings.
Anyone surprised? I'm sure as hell not.

If you believe twitter rumors, the NYK/Celtics/Cavs had discussions about a Melo Love deal sending Melo to Cleveland. Imagine that ISO ball with Kyrie, Melo and Bron. Our pick and roll defense might be even worse if that went down.

Kyrie
Melo
J.R.
Lol would need to add Harden to complete that offense.

Yeah....at least we could finally admit we're not running an offense, or having any interested in playing defense.
I'd be ok with moving Love for the right player.....Melo isn't that player, especially considering were moving Mozgov in that deal too.

I'd honestly rather have Love than Melo. Melo is badddd

Yeah same. That trade just reeks of desperation too.SportsAndLady;1781269 wrote:I'd honestly rather have Love than Melo. Melo is badddd
I don't think melo has that "it" factor. He seems comfortable with his NYC style of life and putting up pointz on the stat sheet.
The last time it seemed Carmelo was really committed was during his honeymoon stage with George Karl where they gave the Lakers some fits in the WCF.

First thing I thought when I saw the story. Want no part of that chucker Melo.like_that;1781296 wrote:That trade just reeks of desperation too.
Also agree with the comment "or having any interested in playing defense". Was the second thing I thought.

Cavs making Shumpert available in trade talks according to ESPN.
Obviously depends who they'd get back...but I like what Shumpert brings. Offensively he's been pretty not good this year, but he's not there for offense.

No. Would be idiotic to let him go.Benny The Jet;1781612 wrote:Cavs making Shumpert available in trade talks according to ESPN.

Shumpert is young enough and still has a contract that another team might covet as an asset. Like we talked about before, the Cavs are basically limited to swapping for overpaid/under-performing/cancerous players with big contracts because they are trying to just dump salary with Varejao, Mozgov, etc.

Cavs interested in Kosta Koufos. I'm sure it's as a replacement for Mozgov when he walks, but without trading anyone, once again, they can get someone better suited for what they want to do, with the TPE or in a trade for Shumpert.

After his incredible month long run, JR Smith is now the #6 shooting guard by real plus-minus. Klay Thompson is #7. Just saying. #Cavs

Can throw away Tyreke Evans, only playing 25 games and done for the season.

Real plus minus take everything offensive into their formula?

Ginobili 18/6/5 per 36 min shooting .451
Redick 21/2/2 shooting .478
Not arguing Ginoboli isn't the better player but it doesn't seem like such the difference between the #3 shooting guard and the #26...especially Redick having a better FG %, even though Manu is creating more points per 36
Is defense factored in?

RPM: Player's estimated on-court impact on team performance, measured in net point differential per 100 offensive and defensive possessions. RPM takes into account teammates, opponents and additional factors

Apparently the Suns want a lot for Markieff Morris.

That list really highlights how few great SGs there are in the game today. I think the majority of good shooters probably fall into another position classification.

I saw that they want at least a 1st rounder, what else?Azubuike24;1781745 wrote:Apparently the Suns want a lot for Markieff Morris.
As far as making any "major" moves to try to remake the roster, with 30+ games to go, just has desperation written all over it. Maybe acquire a piece to compliment the group but to move a Love or Kyrie (not that his name has been mentioned) is probably going to take too much time to gel. Acquire a piece and roll with what they've got.
Was surprised to see one of these analysts (think it was Greg Anthony) predictions for the second half. He had the Warriors breaking Chicago's single season win total yet losing to the Cavs in the Finals.

Well, the tone I read that "at least a first rounder" probably doesn't include the Cavs shitty 28th pick.
I guess the Cavs could do something like Shumpert and a 1st rounder for Morris, which would work, but the last thing the Suns need is another 2-guard. They already have a huge log jam.

I saw a pick and a young player.
