A lot of the problems we have now are because we let Lebron play GM. I know he will deny it but no doubt Lebron came back and said "I want to pick my team" and he's had his hand in every acquisition since. Problem is, Lebron isn't a GM and despite having a high basketball IQ, he's not an expert in player development and evaluation.
I truly believe adding Love was a mistake, especially with the deal we gave the TWolves.

Apparently Kendrick Perkins is a great leader. Another trash article I imagine but pretty funny to hear people talk positively about Perkins.

These trash journalists apparently have nothing better to do with 1.5 months of the regular season left.sleeper;1784585 wrote:http://www.nbcsports.com/video/cavs-players-were-ticked-kendrick-perkins-wasnt-re-signed

Saw that. This is weird, why would he need a rest day coming off 3 days rest? Feel like something else is up

Not really big news. It's pretty telling that the Cavs chance of winning is about the same with or without Love.

I think we are going to see a lot more rest days toward the final stretch of the season especially on back to backs.

Was my thought as well. To be honest, I'd probably rotate guys resting for the most part of the rest of the season, and I'd really cut down LeBrons minutes on most nights too.like_that;1784675 wrote:I think we are going to see a lot more rest days toward the final stretch of the season especially on back to backs.

Probably, but with this team it seems like it's always something. I'm thinking more along the lines of something's hurting on him. Just seems weird after Lue tells people he won't rest people until they clinch home court in EC, now handing out rest when lead is even smallerSportsAndLady;1784676 wrote:Lol you read too far into things man.

is it possible that they are trying to "adjust" the seeding heading into the playoffs? As it sits now, it's pretty likely that the #8 seed will be Indiana/Detroit/Atlanta/Charlotte/Washington/Chicago. Several of those teams have done really well against the cavs in the regular season. Could it be that the Cavs are going to try give themselves the chance to slide into the 2 slot to give themselves an easier 1st and 2nd round matchup? If the 8 seed is Washington and the 4 seed is Miami, that is as hard a road (matchup wise) as Cleveland can ask for to get to the ECF.
Not saying I would do it, but could their thinking be something along those lines?

I'd give this about a .001% chance of this being the case.j_crazy;1784680 wrote:is it possible that they are trying to "adjust" the seeding heading into the playoffs? I'd find it hard to believe their #1 isn't to win home court advantage. They're 0-2 in Toronto this season. I think they'd rather play an injured Heat team than going to Toronto and seeing Lowry 4 times. But who knows...

This is how I would approach it. I'm just trying to explain giving guys days off recently. It's like they are starting to do things like the Spurs do. The Spurs have made it abundantly clear they don't care what seed they have in the playoffs, they would rather be healthy/fresh when they get there. I'm just asking if the Cavs are starting to take that approach.Benny The Jet;1784691 wrote:I'd find it hard to believe their #1 isn't to win home court advantage. They're 0-2 in Toronto this season. If you truly cared about the playoffs only, I'd just rest the starters until the end of the season. Yeah, our seed probably drops to 5th or 6th but at least we will be fully healthy and ready to win the East.HighRoller74;1784678 wrote:Was my thought as well. Yeah those 13 points in 2 games against the Warriors this year would have made a huge difference.Ironman92;1784719 wrote:Sure would've liked to have had him in games 4-6 of the Finals last year

Just to add to this, the Cavs have 4 back to backs this month. Bullshit scheduling by the NBA, thus we will see more resting. Book it.
Other than that so far the Cavs look good after 1 half. LBJ is playing pissed off, and the rest of the team is actually giving some EFFORT, especially on the defensive side.

agreed! Wish we'd sit LBJ already. Up 20 in the 4th, no reason for him to be out there.Ironman92;1784745 wrote:Damn RJ catch that pass!
