Beatings would be near zero if people stop resisting arrest. Cop hails you; you comply. Feel mistreated? Feel innocent? Feel that you "didn't do nothing"? Comply and act after the fact. Too many parents dont demand and teach their kids respect, and what is much worse will encourage and bad mouth other authority figures such as the police. Parents dont show respect, and neither will the kids.

Considering all the liquor stores they looted....probably too hung over to do anything tonight.

The president of the Baltimore City Council apologized for calling rioters “thugs” at a press conference Tuesday, calling those responsible for the violence “misdirected” youths.
