The officer was charged with murder.

The perps commit a crime, then do something more when confronted to incite the police to have to act. Of course you know this .....yet won't admit it.

But the aftermath sure makes for a great thug-fest.

Probably going to get some heat for this, but from living in both the north and the south, there seems to be some large cultural differences among the black populations. I would say that one aspect is there seem to be more complete families, and church attendance is probably a lot higher. I base this on nothing but anecdotal evidence. It could be that the SC low country is different in itself due to a lot of Gullah descendants/ their culture, since ferguson would be considered the south and they went ham.

Being down here currently, things seemed to cool off once sharpton left and no news has really come out lately. The video and subsequent murder charge also probably helped, where the race baitors really couldn't hang there hat on the police department/ white people as a whole.

I guess that's my point. Because the cop was charged with murder, everything is ok? So why not wait until after something happens before reacting Baltimore? IMO, the situation in SC is worse because there is video evidence. In MO and Baltimore, something happened, but we don't know, so how can you flip out and riot?

I'm watching CNN right now, and someone asked the protest leader what might happen if the report doesn't go their way on Friday, and he replied, "no comment." I have a feeling this is going to get worse later in the week.

They are rioting because of 50 years of injustice to blacks. It has nothing to do with Freddie Gray. That just gave them opportunity to protest and riot.

That is a far cry from a good excuse. Most of them look under 30, which means exactly 0 of them have had any "injustice" done to them. They are doing it because of their lack of respect, education, and life path. There is no one to blame other than these individuals.

They are rioting because it gives them an excuse to steal and take what they want. Most of these people are high school kids and young adults who don't know what their families went thru. Why do you think the first places they went were the mall liquor store and drug store.

As stated, most of these rioters weren't even around 50 years ago. It is 2015, time to look in the mirror. So much social injustice these days where they benefit from affirmative action

What an asinine yet completely typical SJW comment (h/t to Sleeper for introducing me to the term). It's obvious they're not rioting bc of 50 years of injustice but rather because....

I find it amazing that people see violent law breakers as sub human animals and if they get beaten or killed, chalk it up to who cares.

Idiot I'm not even on their side. If you watch any news stations this is what is continuing to be brought up. Not my words. I was answering bigkahunas question on why they are rioting.

Are you mad that a black man who was accused of murder has accomplished more in life than you'll ever dream of?

What else would they be? At some point, animals need to be put down like animals. This woe is me "I love human creatures" thing has to subside. Some people are just shitty, and don't deserve to be here any longer. It's pretty simple. I understand you live in Canton, which is a shit hole. If you were a teacher there instead of an engineer you might see the cluster fuck that goes on there. My brother taught at Timken, and would never do it again. In fact he joined the army (as an officer) instead. You have principals siding with shitty children, and the result is no authority in general. It is a complete joke, and starts at the home, then the community.

I didn't see any rioters get beaten or killed last night. What I saw was vilolence directed towards cop and firefighters. I also saw thieves target liquor and drug stores. I don't see these people as sub human I see them as uneducated people who don't know how to handle their emotion and anger. I also see them as people taking advantage of a situation by taking what they want.

The ones making a difference are the ones holding protests and protesters who demonstrated then returned home and didn't take part in the riot. MLK is who these people should look to for how to get the change they seek. Defending anyone who rioted last night is idiotic and enabling the problem.
