However, I must say, this is a situation, where PROTESTING might've been justified. That being said, violence and looting will not accomplish anything at all.

Yeah, if reports are true regarding his injuries than serious investigations need to be made. But these people are accomplishing nothing and should be in jail.

This is one hell of a riot. The whole damn city is falling apart, Orioles had to cancel their game and the national guard has been fully deployed. Something straight out of the 60s

The whole city isn't falling apart, the National Guard is not yet in Baltimore, as of right now this is nothing at all like the riots of the 60's. It does however, have the potential.

Awesome police work. Wtf is the point of police? They will write you a speeding ticket for going 5mph over yet stand there and watch while things get destroyed and people get attacked. Pretty dumb.

IMO, if it was easy as you seem to think it is, that's what they'd be doing. If you watch the video that like_that posted, in the first 20-30 seconds a brawl breaks out and there's people literally running in from every angle. Probably two dozen of them from what is portrayed in the video. How do police fight that reasonably and safely? I don't really know how police strategy works, but I'd guess they sit back in numbers with their shields because that's their best strategy. When they get thinned out it'd probably be easy to get overwhelmed.
