Kentucky was a 2.5 point underdog. Wisconsin is a 5 point underdog. I disagree with that point.SportsAndLady;1718690 wrote:Well then you missed my argument completely.
A lot of people expected Kentucky to beat Wichita. That "upset" was barely that.
Wisconsin beating Kentucky this year would be a monumental upset. Yet they are both 1 seeds.
My point is it's about winning championships, not just final fours, and Izzo struggles going from final four to championship.
Izzo is 4-6 in the final 4/championship. Not great, but not terrible. Certainly not "choke" level. Especially given he's lost to a 1 or 2 seed almost every time. Not like they're bowing out to nobodies.
I get your point, I just disagree with it. And I don't think your arguments getting to it are very good.

Fuck their offense. Their athletes are slow and non athletic.robj55;1718688 wrote:Then don't watch, they have the most efficient offense in the country.

They are white, so they can't be athletic. Got it.wghfan;1718695 wrote:Fuck their offense. Their athletes are slow and non athletic.
Dekker is a better athlete than anyone on the court not named Willie.

They're 346th in possessions per game. I've found them much more tolerable the last couple years, but I could see people still hating to watch them.reclegend22;1718693 wrote:Wisconsin was one of the best offensive teams in the entire country this season. No. He's been terrible. And honestly, Koenig has been better than he ever was. Jackson going down was the best thing that could have possibly happened to them.Laley23;1718689 wrote:Jesus. Has Jackson does anything worthwhile since he has been healthy. Just brutal.

Efficient offense is good offense, as far as I am concerned. We are not talking Princeton. We're talking 80 points a game.Mulva;1718699 wrote:They're 346th in possessions per game. I've found them much more tolerable the last couple years, but I could see people still hating to watch them.

Wisconsin runs now. If it's not there they slow it down.
But it as rec can attest, the fact I have done a complete 180 on them is nothing short of a miracle.

Bronson Koenig needs to chill the fuck out. Why he's taking so many shots is beyond me and Bo Ryan needs to tell him to pass the fucking ball.

He has had 2 nice drives, but he needs to finish. 2 rushed 3s and a good 3. Just cause he doesn't usually take them doesn't make them bad plays. I mean, 2 wide fucking open layups. You cannot miss them though.

Harrison Twins are carrying UK. Need someone else. Booker and Towns need to score.

Weird half. Watching, you think UK should be losing by a few. But they shot 60%, didnt miss from 3 or FT and only 3 TOs...should be winning by a bit lol.
Offensive rebounding has saved Wisconsin.

Considering that a 13-year-old Laley wandered around the RCA Dome with the desperation of a junkie in search of an Advil (probably with the intent of smoking it) just to escape the pain of having to watch Wisconsin play at the 2000 Final Four, I'd certainly characterize his change of mind on Wisconsin as a miracle.Laley23;1718703 wrote:Wisconsin runs now. The Wisconsin of Dick Bennett/early Bo Ryan is entirely different than the Wisconsin of today.

Wisconsin has great athletes which I think Kentucky is pretty surprised at. This game should be an instant classic
