It really is unbelievable how many college teams don't go for the 2 for 1 when it presents itself. And to top it off almost every time they don't they end up with an awful shot.

Should have taken 15 of the 33 sec to force it to the worst KY FT shooter, foul him for the one and bonus. If he makes both they have 15 sec to set up a trey for the win, or if not a 2 for the win!

Grant should have to stand in front of the team and apologize for his actions the last 5-6 minutes of game time. Other than the 1 three he didn't do shit, but he played like he thought he was the shit. I'd be freaking furious if I was his teammate.

Man, we finally get our game now.
LOL. wishful thinking. Kentucky played terrible tonight, most likely you won't see that next week. Also Wisconsin played out of their ass tonight, and most likely you won't see that next week.wow, it could have been a ND/Wisky semi, that would be torture to watch.

Damn such a heart breaking loss. I love grant but he tried to do it himself the last 2 min. Time to get even more drunk. Should have won that game damnit

Can't believe they just let KY get an easy two every time they got down low to Towns. Never changed up, and even worse guarding him with 4 on their big

Not a whole lot you can when a guy is that big and talented. It's even harder to stop him when he hooks with his of elbow every time he touches the ball.

I don't understand not doubling Towns every time he got it down the stretch. What are they worried about? Leaving a shooter open? UK only has one guy that can shoot, Harrison makes two if there is less than 2 minutes on the clock. Giving Towns a free two every time down is what ultimately cost the Irish the game, although they did have about 4 straight awful possessions to end the game.

I know there are a few ND fans on here and hats off to your team. I haven't had that feeling all season. Like it or not, Calipari was right. ND dictated the style of this game from the opening tip.

Sure. But they didn't even try. Coach's job to come up with something to at least slow the bleeding.

Hats off to you guys. We gave you everything and more. Should have won honestly but what a hell of a game. This ND team hasn't backed down to anyone and I expected this to go down to the wire. Kentucky made the plays when it counted hats off to them

Does CBB go with a tenth of a second shot clock too? Interesting point of debate going on with that second to last possession. The right call was made, but ND probably ended up getting 35.7 seconds on that possession.

ND strategy was bad the last 2 minutes. With the Ky defense you can't try to take the shot clock back down to nothing. Should have played for a shot with 45-50 sec left so if they missed Ky couldn't take it to zero if they weren't fouled. Go keep that 2 for 1 in your advantage! And the non-team play hurt them the last 2 minutes.

ND strategy to go for so many of those reverse lay-ups to use the rim to keep the Ky shot blockers at bay was brilliant.

I won the UK student ticket lottery so I've got floor seats for Wisconsin for $40 and free floor seats Monday if Cats win.

3 thoughts from last night:
1) Ashley Judd is the most obnoxious UK fan. She was looking fine though.
2) The fat and white bald guy who has UK tattoos all over his body (including face) is a giant loser. I hope those aren't real.
3) Amazing game to watch. Well worth the price of admission. I think Grant went a little too hero-ballish the last couple of minutes and ultimately cost ND.

He's basically a less-whiny/more angry version of Iggy. Only posts on sports matters to let everyone know how much he hates one person/team that's competing.

I thought Brey did burn his timeouts a bit early (although he stated his guys were dead tired, which makes sense considering 4 of the 5 basically played every minute) and didn't go 2 for 1 when the clock was at 1:09. Maybe that was the plan, as Grant tried to drive without 10 on the clock, but they allowed it to get to 1 which essentially gave UK the ball back at 34 secs. Had they just taken a shot at 8-10, they would've at least guaranteed themselves another possession (although they got one anyway).

Why hate on Wisconsin? That team is made up of real student-athletes and not one semester wonders.

Wisconsin belongs to a different era. They are everything that was once exceptional about this game. I agree with Ahdonis. There is nothing to dislike about them. Bo Ryan is one of the all-time greats at this point.
