I hate the idea of trading NEXT years first round pick. If they do that, then when next year rolls around, they'll be missing their first rounder. Trading first rounds picks is a DANGEROUS thing to do. Bradford isn't worth that cost. Hopefully Holmgren realizes this.

Totally against trading up to #1.
But I would like to see Ted Ginn come back to OHIO.

Trading up is a bad idea this year.

Would be a great asset in our punt return game

I thought we had a punt returner, some guy named Cribbs. Is he any good?krazie45 wrote:No one has worse hands than Braylon....at least Ginn is fast.BR1986FB wrote:Too bad he sucks and has worse hands than Braylon.royal_k wrote:

Cribbs is the GOAT kick returner. He's also amazing on kickoff, punt, and wildcat qb. He's a very good punt returner as well but if the Browns had another great punt returner they could give Cribbs a rest on punt returns so he has more stamina for the other things he does for the whole game.

No need to take Cribbs off punt/kick returns. He's the best in the business. No need to downgrade to Ginn. Cribbs shouldn't even see the field as a WR. He's a liability there. Wildcat & specials....that's his calling.

Taking Cribbs off Punt Returns is the dumbest idea on this entire thread. I know Kickoffs are his speciality but he is above average in punt returns also.

Jesus, I'm not saying take him off because of his performance obviously....I'm saying that it is arguably the area where he is least needed (especially if they got Ginn) and giving him a break would give him more rest for the other things he does.

I have seen this kid post on this site a good bit. He has never said anything like this before, so I have a gut feeling that he forgot to log out at school and someone else posted this...who knows though.pkebker wrote:Nice contribution, we really enjoy having you on our site. No offense, but I'm gonna be a bit harsh here. That is a terrible idea. They just give the guy a huge contract to do returns and now you want to make him part time?! The other things he does are insignificant compared to returning. That HAS to be his primary focus!! Plus, you want to waste a roster spot on a lousy receiver just to make this happen?! Sorry dude, but that's krazie!!krazie45 wrote: Jesus, I'm not saying take him off because of his performance obviously....I'm saying that it is arguably the area where he is least needed (especially if they got Ginn) and giving him a break would give him more rest for the other things he does.

No what I'm saying is that we gave him all of that money, so he'll be used as much as possible. Whether you think his skills at receiver are valuable or not the fact is he is a weapon on offense if used correctly. Playing anyone at 4 different positions all game gets tiring. Also, Ginn will probably be had on the cheap and his speed would help out a receiving core that isn't exactly blazing...
A speedy receiver, even if he's just an average receiver, can open up a lot of things for an offense. The Browns knew that when they signed Stallworth which unfortunately turned out to be the wrong kind of "hit".

Sarcasm? Umm didn't we just have a gm who liked to trade draft picks, and we didn't draft until the 4th round one year. So we've seen this as bad practice, so not sure why your using sarcasm, because obviously we've had front office personnel trade away picks before...SportsAndLady wrote:No way are you serious??pkebker wrote: I hate the idea of trading NEXT years first round pick. On another note, Ginn wouldn't be that bad of an option at WR (If we got him for cheap). He'd be an improvement over what we have now...a small improvement, but an improvement none the less...

No he wouldn't. He's no better than Massaquoi. The only thing Ginn has going for him is speed.pkebker wrote:

Ginn is not better than MMass. He may have more overall athleticism, but MMass is a better overall WR.pkebker wrote:Sarcasm? Ginn needs to find an OC that will use him properly in certain formations. They need to find a way to use his speed instead of trying to force him into being a true WR.

I actually like Massaquoi and feel with we can get some talent around him, he'll have a good career.BR1986FB wrote:No he wouldn't. He's no better than Massaquoi. The only thing Ginn has going for him is speed.pkebker wrote:

In my wettest dreams we would have Ginn, Troy Smith and Robiske all on this team at the same time...lol
