Because they make too much money with special interests in defense companies off the unrest in the Middle East. Their power is based upon that unrest in the Mid East with defense lobbyists donating to political campaigns.

I'm not sure what this has to do with your original point about politics. There are nut jobs like this guy all over the place. My point was tht the state of politics in America today is really not new.

With the caliber of person we have on this site that views themselves as ace world affairs commentators, this is no surprise.

Actually the news reported he may be affiliated with Isis so your blind jump to the perp could in fact be correct. I would argue that media couldn't resist but to propagate a boogie man on a story like this either tho

Serious question: why the fuck do you care so much?

Isn't a terrorist a terrorist? Who cares what "group" they report to?

America's absence from the Paris march speaks volumes about this destructive administration.

Was just a random thought based on the "ease of information" comment. People are stupid and believe what they're told to believe. When "reputable" news sources spread bullshit and slant everything as far as possible to one side (which is every story, 24/7), the stupidity permeates deeper, turning every political discussion into "rabble rabble insane extreme viewpoint rabble".

I guess the tie in to my original comment is that the ease of "information", which is too often heavily biased opinion presented as fact, prevents anyone from having to think for themselves, so the stupidity just keeps growing.

What are you waiting for? You may as well go ahead and make the argument that the administration is more dangerous than Islamic terrorists.

We invent a bad guy for the good guy to take down. It's a propaganda heaven and it gets people to support wars like Iraq and it controls democracy. If you can create fear in free people they will give up their freedom and think of their gov as superman.

I want to make sure I understand your comment. ISIS, Al Qaeda and the Taliban (and all the other spin-off sects) are 'made up' bad guys and the US has no reason to be concerned about them or their actions? Or are you saying they aren't really bad guys at all?

Bad guys are real and so are the swords and bullet that rip throw ones body. When government failure to protect it's citizen (Obama Administration cluster fuck ideology and Socialist government) then people like me what’s their government to get back to basic and protect it citizen and boarders or people like me will pick up their weapons and this is what the government does not want.. A armed citizen want freedom
So when government failure to protect it citizen, citizen take back its rights and protects themselves and pressuring the government to something they have no back bone in doing ... admitting of wrong and doing something about it ..

My engineer in the UK tells me that
the UK police carry no weapons and he thinks it the same for the French police. The only police that carry weapons are what we would call a SWAT team. The street police and those in cars patroling an area have to call in for a Swat type Armed Police to show up.

The mentality is if the police have no weapons and the citizen have no weapons then those who commit a crime robbery or break-in dont need a weapon.

I'm not saying there aren't bad guys or real lol. An example I would use would be red scare. It's not that Russia/communists weren't a threat but the situation was escalated with propaganda and fear. It allows things to happen due to emotion and fear that may not otherwise has happened.

It's just my opinion. I don't think what I'm saying is outlandish but if it comes off that way I'll do my best to clarify
