I guess the tie in to my original comment is that the ease of "information", which is too often heavily biased opinion presented as fact, prevents anyone from having to think for themselves, so the stupidity just keeps growing.

ISIS, Al Qaeda and the Taliban (and all the other spin-off sects) are 'made up' bad guys and the US has no reason to be concerned about them or their actions?
