The war on terror has been a colossal failure with radical Islam being stronger than ever. If the United States is going to commit to fighting extremists groups they need to untie the hands of the military and let them go in and destroy every single one of these groups, the members of the groups and the financial support of these groups. Only then will radical Islamic groups be defeated, until then, more and more events like this will happen and become more frequent.

Other countries will need to step up their effort as well. The United States can't go at it alone. Just like how the Nazis were defeated, that is what it will take to defeat radical Islam.

Like I said 100 posts back...it's time for planned extermination of Islam. The entire world cannot continue to function economically as long a certain religious sect is holding it hostage. Billions upon billions upon billions of dollars and resources are being expended daily to combat the attempts of Islam to overthrow Western culture. I'd love to see a politician with enough balls to call for an organized multi-nation round up of Muslims and placing them in "re-education camps". Crazy? Unrealistic? If this doesn't happen sooner than later, the world as we know it is headed towards a religious Armageddon.

Are you honestly comparing the state of the European Jews with Muslims today? Run through a list of international atrocities committed by the Jews back then that resulted thousands of deaths and torture cases? I must have missed that in history class.

Look, I don't agree Tiernan's extreme solution and it isn't going to happen, so there's nothing to worry about there. However, I agree with the sentiment that Islam had better come to terms with the fact that its basic teachings are somehow interpreted by tens of thousands of terrorists, and tens of millions that support, to condone torture and death for those who don't practice that faith. Simply coming out with the typical "that isn't Islam" statements after every single one of these atrocities isn't cutting it.
