Very much so, on both sides.

But, and I could be wrong, I dont remember Russia, or the US, going around and doing what ISIS is doing.

We all want to label and put the bad people into groups. I dont know how closely those splinter cells actually work together or if they just take up the name to give themselves instant credibility. Doesnt really matter. At this point they need to be stopped no matter what they want to call themselves.

I am not a fan of the current President, but I will always respect the office.

In my opinion, the people that constantly do that are equal to a really annoying commercial spokesperson. On one hand, you have people saying that they're effective because you'll pay attention to them and you remember what they're advertising. Which is true, but on the other...if you're hungry, are you going to think "Yeah, Wendy's because of that annoying ginger bitch who always is making 'witty' food-related comments to her hipster goof friends!"? Just like, is anyone going to be "Hey, Belly mashed buttons on a keyboard to make his 1000th anti-Obama/left post this year! I guess I better reevaluate all my beliefs and opinions!"

Commercials are all about remembering the brand and it sticking in your head. They would rather have an annoying Flo or Wendy lady over a nondescript campaign. Hell, look at Geico, it obviously is working as everyone knows the brand but they dont tell you a damned thing about the product. All about keeping your name on the brains of the consumers.

The last 15+ years have shown the full spectrum. Those Republicans who bitched and moaned that the Dems blamed everything on him, are now doing the same exact thing the other way.

Now, are we sure about that? A lot of this thread's discussion has been whether we are vilifying ISIS, when it could be Al Queda or some other faction! We don't want to besmirch the good name of ISIS, now, do we, as they are far more classy when it comes to bombings, murder and other acts of terror!

Ben Carson supports ISIS

I really like Dr. Carson. Don't have any idea if he would make a good Pres. or not. He's started his exploratory committee this week I believe. I'm not sure if he's socially conservative enough for me. I've got a lot more to learn about him yet.

He's obviously extremely smart. I don't know that he's very strong on business or economics. And as much disdain as we have for the political game, you do need experience to navigate it. Not that leadership isn't somewhat a natural trait, but getting people who don't report to you to follow and set aside their own agendas is a very different world. It's a nice thought that common sense and logic would rule the day, but not in politics.

Wrong. Unless you're suggesting our military isn't willing to die for what they believe in.

I haven't suggested that at all.

Recognizing reckless tactics of ISIS with their full investment of resources while the U.S. withholds their full arsenal of firepower tells us which side wants to win at all costs. Stating as much is hardly expressing admiration.

It's not about whether our military is willing to die for what they believe in like those in ISIS are but rather is our Commander-In-Chief willing to ask our military to do so, with all of our resources behind them, in order to stand up for what the U.S. believes is right.

We don't currently do so and that has to be changed.

If you interpret Dr. Carson's spirit of intent as they relate to his comments differently than that, then he's clearly not the candidate for you. A person who is less willing to utilize our militarily at full strength when the U.S. engages might better reflect your ideology.

As for me, I will be searching for a social conservative that is militarily supportive and believes in the strength as a super power to be used as our greatest diplomacy tool. I need someone to commit to holding off as long as possible militarily but when the decision is made to engage, we leave no doubt.
