The video says when he was diagnosed. I forget the year. He had an appendectomy and they found a tumor. 2011 maybe?

As a cancer survivor myself, he is an inspiration to me. I was lucky enough to have mine caught early and been free for 5 years now.

People like him who continued to do what he loved and not let cancer change who they are really help people who struggle with this terrible disease.

That sucks to hear. I'd heard he was on a leave or something for a bit, but didn't realize he was so terminal over the past weeks/months.

Doubtful he was all hospice for 7 weeks.

I wish the hell I didn't know what hospice was.

RIP to Stu. I shouted a Boo-Yah! When Dallas got that last stop. He was one of the few guys I fell in love watching on sportscenter as a kid and made me grow up loving ESPN. I don't think I've really watched sportscenter in like 5 years though. For anyone who never saw it here is the Stuart Scott piece from last years ESPY's.

Mike Hall just pretty much killed it on BTN with his tribute.

Hall got his start on Dream Job IIRC. Scott was the host of it.

He did. That was very much part of it. A good 5-7 minutes of memories/eulogy, at least it seemed.

Did you know, Toledo ABCs Dave Holmes won the 2nd season of Dream Job??

Damn, didn't put two and two together. Watched the whole series too. I have always thought he looked familiar. That's awesome!
