One fairly likely scenario is that Collier is one play away from being this year's JT.

Pretty sure Cardale is gone, which makes sense for him.
Maybe he misspoke like that HS kid a few days ago when announcing where he was going...said Kentucky when I think he meant Kansas!

Presumably to give time for national media to get there. I guess ESPN will have the announcement.

Neither do I. When you have a guy like Barrett you dont promise it to Jones. Who knows how he proceeds in the offseason if he is promised the job...and then what would Barrett be thinking and do?

Think it was now pushed back until prime time and it will be an hour plus long live special...The Decision II!

Braxton, JT, Gibson/Burrows, Collier, Gibson/Burrows IMO. Burrows RS for sure, possible RS on Gibson, but both would play ahead of Collier.

You said Doss disagrees about calling a presser to announce you are coming back. My point was he didn't call it to announce he was coming back, it was to announce he's leaving.

I think you're underestimating Collier.

Jones is gone. There is no reason to hold a presser to announce you are staying unless you want the attention. Add in he is doing it in Cleveland with Ginn. Personally, a smart move. His stock may never be higher than it is now. Especially if he didn't win the QB competition and ended up sitting. And there is NO way Meyer would gaurantee him anything with the 3 QBs he has returning. Wish the kid luck. Will go down as a legend in OSU lore.

Jalin Marshall was our backup QB the last three games. Collier must be pretty far away.

He will be a legend in college football lore.

Doubtful we will ever see a backup QB do what he did let alone a 3rd string.

This smells like Maurice Clarett II. Mo would tell you today he'd give anything to have played one more year at OSU. No way after 3 games is Jones gonna go higher than 3rd Rd no matter what Mel Fkg Kuiper says. He just doesn't have enough samples on the resume for any NFL team (except one) to take a chance and if (that one) takes him the kid is truly fucked.

That was only to protect his redshirt.

Didn't wanna burn redshirt on the kid. JT was in similar situation a year ago. Right? Only ones who really know about Collier at this point, are the coaches. Any speculation by us, fans...is really a guess at best.

You'll all remember that Maurice and LeDouche were talking back in the day when Mo was making his bonehead decisions too. The guy is a cancer and Meyer needs to quit letting the POS Thugger into the locker room.

Surely you don't think that was because Marshall was a better QB?

Just common sense not to burn that redshirt season that late. Hell, before the Wisky game no one had a clue this was gonna be a 3 game trek to the title. Most realistc fans figured that game and a bowl and that was it.
