My guess is that a 6'2" 215 pounder with 4.4 40 speed would be tough to cover if he were to run routes.

I will be very surprised if Miller would even entertain the thought of switching positions. Somewhere in the backfield? Maybe. WR? Hell no.

Speed and aestheticism doesn't guarantee someone will be a good receiver. Hell the GOAT WR ran a 4.7.

Braxton isn't durable enough to play QB, let alone any other position. He'll transfer.

Good. That may change with a win...but I hope he is back.

It makes 0% sense for Cardale to transfer. He'd have to sit out next year per NCAA transfer rules. If he wants to transfer, why not play out next year at OSU where he can earn his degree and backup JT in case he goes down. Then, if he still wants to transfer, he can do so as a graduate and he'll still get the 1 season of eligibility he'd have if he left now.

That's why I think Cardale is either staying or going pro.

I think Cardale should go pro. The guy can make it in the NFL and his stock will never be higher. I think if he left right now he would be a 4th or 5th round pick and would make a team. If he stays at OSU, JT will likely be the starter and people will forget about him.

Also, Cardale doesn't give a shit about the degree.

Again, I'm in the Cardale over JT camp but to each his own.

I bet he does care about the degree. People think he's dumb, but he was a scholar-athlete when he made that tweet in 2012. The kid isn't dumb, and I bet that degree is big to him and TG Sr.

Cardale needs to go pro if he is draftable. If he plays a whole season somewhere else it could expose things that haven't been seen. It'd be smart to take your money if you know your getting drafted. Right now scouts see a huge qb prospect with a cannon arm. Let them think that and get yourself drafted.

You can do that at IU because they are not going to be in contention at all. He quickly moved back to WR when they realized the new QB wasnt good enough and add that in to changing the offense at the same time....bad mistake. Randel El was very athletic, like Braxton. Antwaan also played a little basketball for the hoosiers and that is ironically where he got hurt the worst (wrist).

WIll OSU experiment with him at WR? Not sure. Do you do that on a team that has NC aspirations and will be the favorite next year and also have a good stock of WRs?
The point you make regarding the talented receivers is a good one. But I think Braxton. if he can catch the ball, would be as good as any of them. I can see him used the way Percy Harvin was used. Urban knows how to do that. Also. as you noted. Braxton could have a future in the NFL...just not as a quarterback.

I'm a big stat guy when evaluating a player....but there's a big difference throwing the ball against Wisconsin and Alabama....versus throwing the ball against Indiana, Michigan and Purdue...just sayin.

I don't think the numbers for JT would have been better than Cardale's...but we will never know.

A radio station in Columbus yesterday said that if Cardale decides to go pro, the Bengals should do all they can to trade up into the top 10 (LOL) to get him. Dumbass Bengal homers.

A guy who will have three career college starts vs. Andy Dalton.

That actually is a surprisingly tough question.

Bring in Cardale to learn for 2 years while they keep mediocre Andy out there then turn over the reigns. It would be a dramatic difference in arm strength, that's for sure.

Edit: Just to clarify, I know Cardale is returning, was just going along with the crazy talk.

If Jones beats Wisconsin, Alabama, and Oregon and wins the NC, I don't think you need to worry about there being a drop off at QB by experimenting with Miller at WR, or anywhere else you want to place his gifted athleticism. I think the worry should be more about whether Jones will leave to the NFL. Right now, he's the only one in good enough shape to be QB at spring workouts, and I don't think you just hand the team to JT or Braxton in the fall with them coming off serious injuries.

If I were a Bengal fan, I would much rather have Cardale Joes under center than that over rated ginger who has wrecked their playoff chances for the last half decade. Only in America can a pig like that make 100 mil plus.

Drennan has been harping all week that the Browns should take him in the middle rounds because "what do they have to lose?". He also said he would be ahead of Manziel when training camp started.

Agreed. I'd bring back Jon Kitna over the Red Retard any day of the week.

Oh, I wouldn't have an issue taking a flyer on him in the mid-rounds but these dumbasses in C-Bus were implying Jones was a "top 10" pick and that the Bengals should actually trade UP to get him.
