Cardale has done a great job leading the Buckeyes in two huge games, but Barrett is what got OSU through the season and to the point that they're at. Unfortunately for Braxton, he's done as a starting QB at OSU. Personally, IMO, I think it'd be for his benefit to stay at OSU and move to WR/Hybrid type position. He's not an NFL QB especially coming off of 2 shoulder surgeries. His athletic ability gets him drafted anyhow, learn a new position and have a prosperous NFL career. I see Miller being like a Randle-El, college QB that moves positions in the pros.
Out of the 3 I rank Barrett as the best QB and Miller as the best athlete. Cardale is probably the second best QB on the team in terms of understanding the offense. I just don't think Miller ever fully grasped it as well as JT or Jones, but his ability to make plays happen when he couldn't find a receiver is uncanny.
Welcome back. I agree that Braxton should try to be the next Randal El. Just like Terrelle Pryor should have learned the tight end position...or if nothing else. a red zone split end if he didn't want to block LB's all day. Randal El make a lot of money in the NFL. Pryor blew his chance.
As for next year. I'm sorry...if Jones leads his offense to the national championship, he would be my starting quarterback next season. Don't know what the stats say...don't care. 3 huge wins as underdogs trumps anything JTY Barrett did. Jones' accuracy is a little better and when he runs, nobody wants to tackle him.
