I forget where I saw it but Mel Kipwr really likes Cardale. He said he has the best NFL upside and would be drafted this year if he decided to come out.

I see what you're saying, but Tressel did develop Troy Smith into a QB that won the Heisman by the biggest margin of all-time.

TP wasn't a slouch either. He was on pace to come really close to Colt McCoy's all time cfb win record.

Come on. This is what fans on message boards do. It's not like we are preparing for the game on here and it matters where our focus is.

Barrett is your starter no question. Cardale has done a great job leading the Buckeyes in two huge games, but Barrett is what got OSU through the season and to the point that they're at. Unfortunately for Braxton, he's done as a starting QB at OSU. Personally, IMO, I think it'd be for his benefit to stay at OSU and move to WR/Hybrid type position. He's not an NFL QB especially coming off of 2 shoulder surgeries. His athletic ability gets him drafted anyhow, learn a new position and have a prosperous NFL career. I see Miller being like a Randle-El, college QB that moves positions in the pros.

Out of the 3 I rank Barrett as the best QB and Miller as the best athlete. Cardale is probably the second best QB on the team in terms of understanding the offense. I just don't think Miller ever fully grasped it as well as JT or Jones, but his ability to make plays happen when he couldn't find a receiver is uncanny.

It's probably the last thing on my mind concerning OSU football.

The Wayne county basketball league thread is the last thing on my mind...so I don't post on it and I don't ridicule those who want to post on it.

You should try it

Last thing on someone's mind, posts twice on the thread.

I'd like to know where Miller is regarding his recovery. I haven't heard shit since the IG post of him holding a ball away from his body.

Read that he is actually throwing the ball...although very light. Said to have been working his ass off in rehab.

And neither one had anything to do with the QB situation next year. Try harder please.

Also, it was 3 posts. Counting is hard.

I get what everyone is saying about JT getting us there but Cardale has done a great job against some pretty good defenses.

JT will win the Heisman next year if healthy, he's probably going to be the best OSU QB of all time. We could roll with 2 QB's though, worked in 1996

Urban did it with Chris Leak and Tebow.

Kind of. Tebow only played in certain situations and I don't believe it was very often. He only threw 30 passes all year. There wasn't really a balance to what he did. And I personally hate the 2qb thing.

And no, it really did not work in 96. Cost OSU a possible title IMO. Germain should have been then starter over Jackson. Too much loyalty to Jackson as a senior.

Cardale will declare..."we ain't playin no school". Plus he's NFL ready if he can handle the playbook.

96 was Cooper's worst year as a coach in sticking with Jackson. Joe Germaine was lights out. I remember watching the first quarters with Stanley Jackson and just hoping the Buckeyes wouldn't fall to far behind. Jackson was about as good as Ballisari with his passing accuracy.

Welcome back. I agree that Braxton should try to be the next Randal El. Just like Terrelle Pryor should have learned the tight end position...or if nothing else. a red zone split end if he didn't want to block LB's all day. Randal El make a lot of money in the NFL. Pryor blew his chance.

As for next year. I'm sorry...if Jones leads his offense to the national championship, he would be my starting quarterback next season. Don't know what the stats say...don't care. 3 huge wins as underdogs trumps anything JTY Barrett did. Jones' accuracy is a little better and when he runs, nobody wants to tackle him.

Honestly, his accuracy wasn't great on passes he completed. Marshall and Thomas made plays on balls that were high or behind them. That's to be expected though when you haven't really had live snaps all year.

IU tried to move Randel El to WR for a short time in I think his senior season because he projected to be a WR in the nfl. You can do that at IU because they are not going to be in contention at all. He quickly moved back to WR when they realized the new QB wasnt good enough and add that in to changing the offense at the same time....bad mistake. Randel El was very athletic, like Braxton. Antwaan also played a little basketball for the hoosiers and that is ironically where he got hurt the worst (wrist).

WIll OSU experiment with him at WR? Not sure. Do you do that on a team that has NC aspirations and will be the favorite next year and also have a good stock of WRs?
