If you want to claim 61 I guess you could but if claim 1970, then Alabama would considered this year's champ.

No, because there is only one way to determine the National Champion. There were multiple ways back in the day.

Cleveland Buck;1695852 wrote:Cardale's got to be the starter next year. If he develops the mental side of the position he is an NFL QB. With him at QB to end the year no one in the country could touch this team, and they could and should be better next year. Let J.T. back him up and let Braxton go wherever he wants.

As for Mariota, he is a faster Colt McCoy. He is a lot faster, so he may not totally flop at the next level, but his arm is not NFL caliber, and I wouldn't take him in the first couple rounds. If he is picked #1 he will be considered a huge bust.
No, Cardale is not the starter right now. Could he be? Certainly. Meyer is all about competition. So I would say, there is going to be a heated QB competition going on.

As for Mariota..the guy is 6'4", 220. Mccoy is 6'1", 215. Mariota is a MUCH better upside because of his height. Its NOT fair to gauge a player based on one game.

1) I am posting common claims from the NCAA institutions.
2) Did you not realize that there was not championship game in 1961 let alone a playoff to determine the champion. It was voted on by biased sports reporters.

I didn't see him yet. I'm sure he had very few words on the topic.

Before the game he basically said OSU didn't belong. And the MM would dominate and Oregon would run away.

I know a lot of what he says is to stir the pot, but he is a grade A ass clown.

I think Travis is worse than Mark May. At least May has some(albeit very little) football knowledge.

Defensively, Oregon has some big problems like stopping the run against a player like Jones/EZE because these players don't exist in the Pac-12.

Again, I expect a substantial blow out of Oregon; a complete destruction of their fraudulent Heisman trophy winner and an embarrassment to Pac-12 "football". This Ohio State team is scary good and if a team like Alabama had to get lucky to only lose by 7, then Oregon is in for some punishment.

There's really not much else to add. Cardale Jones, ZEEK, and the Front 7 are simply too good. Cardale should go pro but if he comes back I want him as the starter. Feeling good, NATIONAL CHAMPS.

Even better is the fact that osu was the lowest seed. Last year they wouldn't have even been in this game. Just proof that a playoff has always been necessary. I hope they expand it. I don't know how anyone who watched the CFB can be against it.

I'll give you credit, you nailed it.

I knew smashing them at the line would win the game, but questioned whether we could actually do it or not...especially after ESPN has recently hyped the shit out of Oregon's Dline.

Can't see how they add more games to these kids. Ohio State basically just played an NFL season. If they expand the playoffs to 8 teams, I'd imagine some payments are gonna start coming to these players.

Meyer said the same thing, you cant expect an 85 scholarship team to be able to last through 16 ball games. I like 4 for now, why bust up something that has worked! In the past the Bucks wouldnt have even been in the conversation with the one loss this year.

People were congratulating me today when I came into work.

Deep down they pretty much think I'm insane (along with most rapid football fans from the Midwest)

Amazing game. So fun sitting on OSU's side going absolutely ape shit with everyone.

I don't know if it was just my confidence but I really felt in the hours leading up to this game that we were going to win and I feel like the crowd felt it too. There was no nervousness or anxiety, just everyone waiting to party and celebrate. Bucks fans were great last night. Walking out of jerry's world hearing the loud "O H" cheers was euphoric.

The score actually should have been a lot worse then 22 points. It was a complete domination if not for our stupid turnovers.

Urban is the fucking man. Watching him on the sidelines, the intensity he brings..good lord how can you not get amped as a player seeing him?

And ZEEK...just a monster performance. Guy just hits the holes and hits them hard. And on the national championship stage? Guy had nearly 700 rushing yards and 10 tds in the postseason this year. Oh and 5 other Big Ten RBs were voted all conference over him. LOL

I can't wait for next years team. Basically all of these guys will be coming back. Love it

So scrap one of the shitty preseason games and play the first round in early December.
