I think you're confusing discontent over playing ability and the mocking of constant exaggeration and excuse making by Manziel lovers for hatred. I've been hard on Manziel, because he's not even shown flashes of being a competent NFL QB, then he comes out and basically admits he didn't work hard.

It's okay to criticize his play this year. It'd be dumb to say you are done with him. I guess unless you are personally sold he will never amount to anything but that is just an opinion and you can certainly have that opinion just don't pass it off as gospel.

Wouldn't watch and wouldn't root for the team. When the Browns were stolen I didn't watch the NFL at all.

I think both have grown up a ton and I respect that.....but it doesn't make up at all for their past.

I hate when my favorite players do stupid shit (Ben was never part of that list)...but Vick was that Bo-like figure that I just loved and couldn't wait for his next highlight.....then he continues to live out his upbringing surroundings 25 years after he knew better than to be doing it. I have a picture of my son about 8 months old wearing a Vick jersey.

I do believe Vick is a pretty good guy now but I'm also hopefully naive.

I used to care about what the players did but anymore I just say fuck it. Players come and go and I rooted for the team before, and will root for the team after, any said bad apples were on the team. I dont have to like the player as a person. I dont have to deal with them personally. Yeah, some are scum bags, some are upstanding individuals. I root for the TD's, the sacks, and for the team and whomever does the deed.......good for them. I stopped caring really about what they get into.

Can and will get ripped for it, but like I said, I root for the team to succeed. If my choice was to have a team of choir boys who finished below .500 every year or some some fuckups and finishe in the hunt more often than not....I am going for the latter.

In my personal life I am a total opposite. I wont associate with those who are into illegal dealings and I steer clear of them, but with my pro teams, I dont care.
