Just to put this into perspective: Browns just signed the same veteran bridge that helped lead Tampa Bay to the No. 1 overall pick.

Having this conversation with a friend of him, and figured I'll throw it out here as well. What are you expectations for McCown?

Mine, def starting wk 1 even though he's fucking garbage, benched by WK6/7 for JFF or whoever we draft for throwing 9+ ints. I think signing him was a complete waste of time, and cap space. I'd rather throw JFF out there and least have a 1% chance of optimism that he can not be terrible, than throw McCown out there who I history has already shown is terrible.

I agree with this completely. He'll be benched by wk 8 at the latest and wont be on our roster next yr. Book it.

I don't think the Browns are done addressing the QB situation. If they are putting all of their eggs in the "1-10 versus the juggernaut NFC South" McCown, it's going to be an ugly season.

I also don't think they are done exploring the QB position. I am not even sold mccown will win the starting spot, but regardless I think he will be a good vet instead of handling it the way hoyer handled it.

It seems like the Eagles are looking to throw the sink for Mariotta. If I'm the Browns I find a way to get involved in a 3 team trade to bring foles to Cleveland.

Getting Foles in a 3 team deal would be ideal. Regardless McCown sucks, and we could in store for another:
